Timing is everything, right? We’ve survived the summer, and some of us have finally settled into a back-to-school groove. But in a month or so, the holiday rush-rush-rush will begin. So we figure the time is right for a party. But not just any party — this one is a “Motherlode Pampering Party,” and you can win an invitation to come (and bring one friend) to this special bash just for moms.
Not only is this a Pampering Party for moms, it’s also a way to shine some light on a new non-profit group in Northwest Arkansas called Saving Grace. This organization helps young women who are aging out of the foster care system. Each of our guests will be asked to bring one package of efficiency light bulbs which will be used in the newly renovated Saving Grace dormitory.
Theย nwaMotherlode Pampering Party will be held on Friday, October 2nd at Cuisines Bistro in Rogers. Here’s what we’ve got planned:
What we’ll do: Hand, foot and chair massage stations from I.M. Spa will be set up and ready to pamper some mamas for free!
What we’ll eat: This Cuisines menu is amazing and includes heavy hors d’oeuvres and a really big dessert buffet.
What we’ll drink: Fancy virgin cocktails (because some of our mamas are pregnant or will be driving).
What you’ll hear: Becky Shaeffer, who grew up in the foster care system, founded this new non-profit and she’ll be at the party to tell us a little more about it. We’ll also introduce some of the mamas who contribute articles to nwaMotherlode.com on a regular basis as well as some of our sponsors.
HOW TO WIN A SPOT AT THE PARTY: Click the word “comment” below and tell us why you and a friend would like to come to the party! (You can also send us an e-mail at giveaways@nwaMotherlode.com.) We’ll select five readers at random and let you know on Wednesday if you snagged an invitation.
This party is our way of saying “thank you” to so many of the people who have made this website what it is. Without the help of our sponsors, contributors and especially our loyal readers, we just couldn’t pull this thing off. We really wish there was a way we could throw a party for the more than 10,000 moms who visit our site each month, but the Cuisines Bistro just isn’t that big!
We’re looking forward to the big party, and we hope you’ll throw your name in the hat for our random drawing so you can join us!
I need to win a spot at the party because I am due to have a baby on October 16 and am into the last miserable stages of pregnancy. It’s Murphy’s Law that if I won, I’d probably go into labor early causing me to miss the party, so help a girl out and let me be a winner! ๐
Corey,
Thanks for making me laugh today ๐
Good luck … and congratulations!

I would love to win an invitation! I could use a relaxing evening and would love to hear about the new foundation.
would love to *NEED TO* come! lots of kids, and an out-of-work hubby make for crazy mama time!!!
That sounds like it will be a fun filled night! I would love to hang out with you MAMAS and learn more about Saving Grace!
A day of pampering to a mommy of 2 sounds like a wonderful idea!!!!! Also, I would love to hear more about this organization. My husband and I have always had a special place in our hearts for older children in the foster care system and are looking for ways to help them!
My friend and I have teenage girls whom are very involved in outside activities…..which means we are always on the go, and there is never any time for pampering ourselves…This would be a great time for both of us.
It seems when I can just get 15 minutes of “running to the bank alone” time it makes a world of difference, I think a night out would be amazing much needed relaxation!
I would love to come hang out with some other MAMAS in the area and learn more about saving Grace. I would also like to spend time with my friend Heidi too. We both are so busy as moms that we don’t get to do much together or for ourselves.
Thanks for the chance to win this great giveaway!
Oh my gosh…I want to come to the party!!! My friend Ashley and I really really need something like this. I would love to hear more about Saving Grace and get some bonding time with a great friend, sounds like a perfect evening!
I trully would love to come to this party and not for just the pampering. I work with foster children all the time and I would love to hear the speaker and all about the “Saving Grace” Non-profit because I too work for a Non-profit. This would be an outstanding way to network and help our youth in the foster system.
What a great way to meet some local mamas and learn about a wonderful new organization.
Would love to have a break and this sounds fun
It sounds like a great way to meet local moms like myself as well as learning about a very important topic! And let’s face it….what mom COULDN”T use a night of pampering and “heavy hors’ devoures?!?!
