Giveaway: Eureka Springs fun package!

Note from the mamas: Congratulations to Lisa Smith, winner of the fun package!

If you’ve never been to Eureka Springs, it’s a beautiful Victorian spa town with a fabulous historic downtown.

And with today’s giveaway, you’ll be able to shop, eat (don’t we always include food?) AND enjoy an “educational” activity with the kids there. Or you can leave the kids home and just go with your significant other or a friend. Works for us!

It might be a fun trip to take right before the kids start back to school or you can wait until the leaves start to turn — Eureka is gorgeous in the fall — and temperatures cool down.

The giveaway package includes a $25 Eureka Thyme Gallery gift certificate, $40 to Dr. Baker’s Bistro and Sky Bar at the Crescent Hotel and 2 tickets to the Downtown N Underground tour (kids are free). A whole day’s worth of Eureka Springs fun! These goodies are courtesy the Eureka Springs Downtown Network.

About Eureka Thyme Gallery: The studio’s new downtown location represents local artists and craftspersons: soy candles, luminaria, jewelry, photography, fine art, eclectic art in many forms, fine crafted wooden bowls, pottery, mobiles, glassworks, shrines, local books and music, and whatever locally made items that tickle their fancy.

About Dr. Baker’s Bistro: This sky bar is the highest point in the county and at the top of the Crescent Hotel, a historic and unique 1886 structure.

About Downtown N Underground: It’s Eureka Springs behind the scenes! The guided walking tour is 75 minutes long and features architecture, geology, history and “semi-true” stories of the Wild West.

Good luck! We’ll choose a winner on Friday!

  1. We make an annual trip to Eureka every year in the Fall. We love to visit the Crescent Hotel, it is so beautiful, and full of such spooky history. Eureka Springs is just such a neat place.

  2. Basin Park is my favorite place to visit because when my husband and were dating it was our first trip together. I has been 23 years ago and we enjoyed jazz concerts in the park and loved everything about Eureka Springs. We have not been to Eureka Springs since we have been married and I am looking forward to going back. We are getting ready to celebrate our 20th anniversary and I cant think of a better place to celebrate!!

  3. I LOVE the open area in downtown. The shops, galleries and restaurants are nice, but meeting locals and all of the other travelers is by far what I love most about Eureka!

  4. When my husband proposed, we had no money and knew we would have to pay for everything ourselves. I told him that I wanted to honeymoon anywhere BUT Eureka Springs. As fate would have it, friends gave us 2 nights at the Bavarian Inn for a wedding gift, which sealed the deal. We were going to Eureka. Turns out, it was a perfect honeymoon. We relaxed, walked the quaint streets, bought one another gifts and best of all, ate at Ermilio’s. I adore Eureka Springs, but Ermilio’s is my favorite place there.

  5. Last year I went to Eureka with some friends. We stayed at the Crescent Hotel & took the haunted tour. That was the first time I had ever stayed there. We had a lot of fun!

  72. I live in Eureka and I dont know if that disqualifies me for winning a ‘get away’ lol, but my favorite place is Chelsea’s. The best food upstairs and the friendliest people downstairs. We refer to it as our “living room” and the front balcony is “the front porch”. If you’re ever in town notice the tennis shoes hanging from the electric wire crossing Mountain and Center Street. Those would be mine. you will find all the charm of Eureka in the friendly characters that enjoy the tourists, play impromptu live music on any given day through the season, great local and visiting bands, the best made drinks in town and of course my favorite, Open Mike night every Tuesday night. I don’t work there.. I feel sometimes like I live there. It’s a musicians funhouse for sure!
