Giveaway: FamJam Doktor Kaboom Science Show at The Jones Center

This week we have a giveaway that’s perfect for parents who might have a little scientist in the family. We’re giving away FOUR tickets to the upcoming Doktor Kaboom Science Show on May 11, 2024 at The Jones Center. (You can see the show at 2 p.m. OR at 6 p.m. on that date.)

If you win these tickets, you’ll also get free access to the public sessions of ice skating and swimming at The Jones Center on that date. There will also be a family craft time following each of the science show performances.

ABOUT THE SHOW:

Doktor Kaboom! is having trouble picking his favorite science demonstrations, so he’s bringing them all! Unfortunately, there are way too many demonstrations to do at once. The solution: the Wheel of Science!

Doktor Kaboom! has built a great, big spinning wheel and labeled it with everything from optical illusions and chemical reactions to a homemade hovercraft. With at least a dozen fantastic demonstrations ready to go, wherever the wheel stops, that’s what’s next!

Will he turn a water bottle into a rocket? Catapult bananas across the stage? Who knows? No two shows are the same. So, step right up, and spin that wheel!

Doktor Kaboom! keeps audiences riveted and rolling with laughter during his sidesplitting journey of science experiments. Kaboom! will perform two shows at The Jones Center FamJam event: at 2pm and 6pm.

FAMJAM SCHEDULE

  • Public-session ice skating – 12:30-2:30 pm & 7-9 pm

  • Public-session swimming – 12-6 pm

  • Doktor Kaboom! and The Wheel of Science – two shows 2 pm & 6 pm

  • Family craft time after each performance

  • Who is Doktor Kaboom!? David Epley, through the character of Doktor Kaboom!, performs original, interactive science comedy for audiences of all ages. A native of Charlotte, North Carolina, David has been fortunate to discover two passions in life: science, which he studied at the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics, and performing, which became his career. David has made his living writing, performing and directing interactive theater across the US and Canada.

  1. My daughter and I are SO thankful for allergy medicine–especially this time of year! 🙂

  2. There are sooooooo many amazing inventions I wish I had come up with! Healthcare and medical advances amaze me, but of course my most thankful scientific advancement is the care for Type 1 Diabetes. I have a T1D son and while I hate that he has this disease, I am incredible grateful for the devices he can utilize and still function like a normal kid and of course the insulin that keeps him alive!!!!!
