About Tango Fire: This one of the hottest Tango companies in Argentina, powerfully relives the history of Tango from its origin in the red light district of Buenos Aires, to its global acceptance as a ballroom duet of synchronized passion. Tango Fire was started in Buenos Aires by the distinguished Argentine ballerina and choreographer, Carolina Soler. Since 1996, Tango Fire has fascinated audiences throughout Europe, Asia and Latin-America.

Tango is a synchronized dance that seeks to express the complexities of passion between a man and a woman. It began in the shadows of lower-class Argentine society and although it has transformed into a world-wide ballroom phenomenon, Tango has remained a dance that truly represents and captures the heart and soul of Argentina.

Tickets range from $20-$30.

About Complexions Dance Company: This dance sensation returns to Northwest Arkansas on Thursday (Feb. 5) at 7pm, with an exciting night of mixed repertoire; contemporary ballet, classical and modern dance converging in one invigorating performance (including a piece set to the music of U2).

Born from Artistic Directors Dwight Rhoden and Desmond Richardsons’ shared appreciation for diversity through dance, Complexions Dance Company has earned accolades for its high-energy choreography, remarkable dancers, and thought-provoking performances. You may have seen Co-Artistic Director Desmond Richardson in Slow Dancing as one of the featured dancers now see him on stage as his company takes vitality and diversity through dance to new heights. You may also recognize both Rhoden and Richardson from Fox’s hit reality show, “So You Think You Can Dance,” in which they choreographed a piece for two of the competitors in an episode that aired last season.

Local Northwest Arkansas dancers and choreographers will also have the opportunity to learn from the dancers of Complexions through several dance workshops. Dance classes include a Choreographer’s workshop, Ballet and Modern Master Classes, and Contemporary Dance Class.

Tickets for Complexions range from $18-$30, and are available at the Walton Arts Center Box Office by calling 479-443-5600. After the show, DJ Soulfree will be spinning tunes in the lobby for the post-show cafe – which will feature 1/2 price drink specials! To learn more about these activities visit waltonartscenter.org.
