Beauty Buzz: “Ask Amy” about eye make-up remover

Dear Amy,

Can you recommend a good makeup remover for sensitive eyes?

Dear Sensitive,

It is so important to remove every last trace of eye makeup before going to bed. If you don’t, you could wake up to puffy, red, irritated peepers. My eyes are sensitive too (especially after LASIK surgery), clinique-eyemakeuprmvr.jpgbut I’ve found a remover that really does the trick — Clinique’s Take the Day Off. Even though it’s a part-oil remover (thus requiring a good shake before using), it doesn’t leave a greasy, filmy residue, and most importantly, doesn’t irritate sensitive eyes. One four ounce bottle is $17.50, but lasts a few months, and Clinque often offers a travel size in its “free gifts.” Another great use for this remover – it’s terrific for removing mid-day, caked on lipstick.
