It’s back! The second annual NWA Mini Grand Prix is returning to the Northwest Arkansas Mall on August 28, 2010. This fun-filled racing event will include teams from various businesses across Northwest Arkansas with all proceeds supporting local, underserved children’s charities.

Benefiting The C.A.R.E Initiative (Children, Awareness, Responsibility, and Encouragement), the NWA Mini Grand Prix is currently recruiting local businesses to participate in this year’s event. Sponsorships of mini grand prix race cars is $3,500, which includes the race car, customization kit, sponsorship fee and entry fees for six race team members (two drivers and four pit crewpersons).

“Businesses that sponsor cars will have the opportunity to personalize their cars with their logos,” says The C.A.R.E Initiative Board President Alex Patterson “They’ll be able to have their employees be the drivers, pit crew and fans. The NWA Grand Prix is an excellent way for entire companies to work together for a good cause.”

The race will feature a special course designed with a variety of challenging bends and hairpin turns, placing a premium on acceleration and maneuverability. This event will have the feel of a big time race – including pace cars, team uniforms, beautifully customized company racecars and, of course, pit row. The NWA Mini Grand Prix will also include a “Prix-Party”, a pre-race festivity the night before the race.

“It will be a full day of mini racing, games and concessions for the entire family,” says Patterson. “This fun-filled event is sure to draw large crowds – all cheering their favorite company car across the finish line.”
