ArtShare

ArtShare is a fun event for youth ages five and older with autism and their families. The museum will open early for families to explore the galleries, participate in hands-on activities, and create art. The event is free, and pre-registration is encouraged.

Children’s Christmas Train

Children’s Christmas Train riders will depart aboard a restored 1940’s era train. The 40 minute ride to Johnson and back will include singing Christmas carols, stories, and even a visit from Santa himself. After returning to the Train Depot families can enjoy holiday games and entertainment – ride ponies dressed as reindeer, operate a model train, participate in the cake walk, write a letter to Santa or just enjoy the characters and live music in Santa’s Village. Children and families are also encouraged to dress in Holiday attire. Children 2 years of age and under do not require a ticket but will have to sit on your lap, $10 for ages 3-12, and $20 for adults.

Jingle Bell Jog 5k and Reindeer Fun Run

Run, Run Rudolph…to the Botanical Garden of the Ozarks for a fun morning of holiday cheer. Ugly Christmas Sweaters, Santa hats, elf ears – anything that sparkles and jingles is highly encouraged. Come run, walk and be merry. Runners and walkers of all levels & all ages.

Date: Saturday, Dec. 2

Time: 5K begins at 9 a.m.; Fun Run begins at 10 a.m.

The Nutcracker

The NWA Conservatory of Classical Ballet presents the 5th annual production of the full-length professionally staged holiday tradition.  All tickets are for reserved seating, $20 online or $25 at the door. (Children 3 and under free if sitting on your lap.)

Date: Saturday, Dec. 2 – Sunday, Dec. 3

Time: 7 p.m. and 2 p.m., respectively

Polar Express at Imagine

It’s Polar Express at Imagine! Join the fun in your favorite PJ’s at 10:30 or 3:30 for a very special story time, complete with hot cocoa and a festive craft.

Spend a fun morning with your family watching “Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas” at the Arkansas Public Theatre. Children and their families will have so much fun watching the movie while enjoying donuts & hot cocoa. Wear your pajamas, take home treats and start a new family tradition. Seating is limited. Tickets are $5 per person.
