Mealtime Mama: A snack to go with your hot chocolate!

mealtimemama-ONF

Lots of Northwest Arkansas mamas enjoy the tradition of driving around town looking at Christmas lights while the kids drink hot chocolate in the backseat.

We think this popcorn (below) would be a great snack to take along if you have older kids. The recipe is from the Ozark Natural Foods website, which is packed with all kinds of information. This Honey Nut Popcorn recipe is from an ONF owner Kathie Marvin (click here to see what that’s all about and how you can become an owner, too!).

Note from the mamas: While you’re entertaining guests and running around like crazy during the month of December, remember that ONF has a great deli for fast pick-up (click here to see what’s cookin’ today!). Healthy food and you don’t have to cook! One delicious option is a healthy pizza. They have a picture of one on the ONF blog that’s topped with kalamata olive, bell pepper, mushroom, red onion, spinach, pineapple, broccoli, avocado and heavy on the sauce. That’s a pizza! (They can make it any way you like, though!)

The deli also makes catering packages just for the holidays if you need help.

Salt, to taste
1/2 cup walnuts
2 Tbsp honey
