Great Date Giveaway: A Gentleman’s Guide to Love & Murder

gentlemans-guide

Happy Monday, mamas! We hope your December is going great and you’re enjoying the holiday season.

We’ve got a giveaway starting today to help make it even brighter: 2 tickets to see A Gentleman’s Guide to Love & Murder at Walton Arts Center on Jan 10th! This show, Tony Award® winner for Best Musical, will run Jan. 10 through Sunday, Jan. 15, 2017.

This would be a GREAT date night — or Girls’ Night — out!

ABOUT THE SHOW: Gentleman’s Guide tells the uproarious story of Monty Navarro, a distant heir to a family fortune who sets out to jump the line of succession, by any means necessary. All the while, he’s got to juggle his mistress (she’s after more than just love), his fiancée (she’s his cousin but who’s keeping track?) and the constant threat of landing behind bars. Of course, it will all be worth it if he can slay his way to his inheritance… and be done in time for tea.

This show is fast-paced, zany and has great singing. If you want to bring kids, this show is recommended for ages 10+.

  1. This would be such a fun date night. My husband had surgery and off work during the holidays, so this would be a fun way to have a night out.

  2. I am a single mom, and my daughter’s dad works weekends so I don’t get much time for myself. Don’t get me wrong, I love all the time I get to spend with my 3 year old! But a mommy’s night out would be well deserved! Especially after having to literally start from nothing exactly one year ago. Now I have a great job and a wonderful life, although I am a work in progress.

  3. My husband and I don’t really get too many date nights, this would be great!

  4. So much stress during the holidays and kid functions could definitely use a date night!!

  10. Crazy recent story…
I was popping in to visit a cute clothing boutique that had just opened near my house. I was in a huge hurry because I was meeting one of my daughters at the house in just a few minutes to get her ready for her daddy-daughter dance. I had my other two daughters with me while I ran in to the boutique. The place is a smaller space, and we were the only ones in there besides the employee. So, it was super quiet inside. As soon as we got inside, both girls said they had to use the bathroom. I told them just to go quickly because we had to leave in a couple of minutes. Of course, they weren’t exactly quiet in the restroom because they were together. You could hear everything because of the small place and lack of other room noise. After a couple of minutes, when abnormal sounds were radiating from the restroom, I knocked on the door to check on them. The door opened, and I found one daughter with a plunger in her hand in the toilet. The other assisting from the side. Again, you could hear everything! I realized at this point I was about to take over a mess. As quietly as I could, I asked them to exit the bathroom through gritted teeth. I ended up having to plunge the toilet and sanitize/clean the bathroom back up. I ended up buying something because I was too embarrassed just to leave without doing so (in light of recent events.) Motherhood moments at their finest! 🙂

  11. I don’t know about zaney experiences…but living and working and meeting new people in NW Arkansas has been a blessing! I am so enjoying experiencing all of the activities available in our community. I haven’t attended a performance at the Walton Arts Center since I arrived here in May, but hear the renovations are absolutely beautiful! I love promoting NWA to friends and acquaintances and would enjoy and appreciate a night on the town at this beautiful venue!

    Night out? Yes, Please!

  18. With 4 children (three that I homeschool and one toddler), there is always something zany going on in my life. So, as any other mom of young children, I could definitely use a date night with my husband! We haven’t had one in 6 months!

  19. I could use either a Date NIght w/my hubby since we rarely have time together just the 2 of us. I could also use this as a Girl’s Night out w/my bestie because time with her is always the best!

  24. Zany, I left the living room to get a glass of water and when I got back my 13 month old son had pushed the coffee table to the tv stand so he could climb up to touch the tv screen. This took all of 15 seconds and was the first time he had decided to do something like this.

  25. My husband works in Texas during the week so a date night would be perfect for us! We never get to see each other 🙂
