Note from the mamas: Congratulations to Bethany Stephens, Flip winner! So here’s what happened. Back when we joined the rest of civilization and set up our very first Facebook page for nwaMotherlode, it was set up as a 
“group”. And that was all well and good and worked fine but then Facebook said we should really make it a “Page” instead so that we could have one of those handy, dandy “Like” buttons that are so popular these days.
We made the switch from “Group” to “Page”, but the move came with consequences. We couldn’t automatically transfer all those group members into “fans”. So now we’re feeling kind of lonely in Facebook land. We want our friends back! 🙂
We use Facebook to share lots of fun stuff, last-minute info as well as links to some of our most popular articles. But you might miss out on all that if you haven’t pressed that little “Like” button on our page yet.
So today’s giveaway will work a little differently. Instead of posting a comment here on nwaMotherlode, we’d love it if you’d jump over to our new Facebook fan page and post a comment there. Just to make it more fun, we’re going to give away a brand new Flip camera to a reader (selected at random)Â who posts a comment on our Facebook page. This particular Flip camera (in bright white with chrome trim) is an Ultra HD model and 
will record up to 2 hours of video. Shannon and I both have Flip cameras and we love them because they fit easily into a purse (or even a big pocket) and they are SO SIMPLE to operate.
Point, press the red button and you’re recording. It’s seriously that simple. Then when you want to download the video, you just plug the camera directly into your computer USB port and hit download. (No cords to keep up with. Hurray!)Â It will also ask if you want to post the video on YouTube or Facebook. I’ve even used mine to make fun home movies with music in the background and everything.
HOW TO ENTER: Just click on the Facebook icon below to go to our new Facebook fan page and post a comment. In your comment, tell us about something you “flip” for. (For example, we flip for miniature Twix bars, massages, good bargains, 
cute shoes and new fans on Facebook!) Once you post the comment, you’re automatically entered into the random drawing for the new Flip camera.
