My favorite instrument is the one I play and Teach private lessons for—Piano!!
String instruments are my favorite!
The fiddle is by far my favorite!
Love an acoustic guitar
I love a good fiddle and banjo!!
Love listening to piano music!
I really love violin/fiddle. So much feeling in it.
I hope that this doesn’t seem like a cop-out, but I love all of the traditional Celtic instruments that make up the very distinctive Irish tunes. I will just about swoon for any fiddle, but I used to play the flute and a fife (not to unlike the tin whistle or (pennywhistle). I also am so intrugued by the button accordion/concertina/(Irish Squeeze Box. I have learned to absolutely love the banjo, and my youngest son has taken that up. The mandolins always make a beautiful sound. I had a harp at my wedding which of course was a beautiful touch. And, I actually have a Bodhrán drum that I fancy that I’ll learn to play, LOL!! I got some impromtu lessons from a Bodrhan teacher in Tig Rorie’s pub on the island of Innishire!!
Being of Irish descent (McCarthy), I had always been drawn to Irish music. When I visited Ireland and studied abroad at NUIG in Galway, I couldn’t get enough of the Irish music played by buskars in the streets and the musicians in the local pubs. Until I can make it back to Ireland, I can only take advantage of the opportunities to see Irish bands when they come here! We’re so lucky to have the WAC and I can’t wait to see Danu. I hope I win the tix!
Is there anything more relaxing than violin? I also love piano solos.
I love the fiddle. No one can play it better than the Irish!!!!
I love to hear the fiddle!! I think it commands attention and can really get you moving on the fast paced songs!
I love hearing all of them! Each for different reasons! If I have to pick just one, I’d pick piano. A well played piano is so awesome and sounds amazing!
fiddle!
Violin, my son loves the violin and we would love to hear them.
I love hearing Irish string instruments!!
I love to hear a piano or a steel guitar!
