Happy Halloween season, mamas! Enjoy this list of fun events happening around Northwest Arkansas for 2024!

Sept.6-Nov. 7, 2024: Farmland Adventures. If you want to pick your own pumpkin, let the kids pet some cute animals, get lost in a corn maze and hang out on a farm for a few hours, visit Farmland Adventures. They are a tradition in Northwest Arkansas! The 2024 Corn Maze theme is “Expedition Everest.” There’s a maze tracker, a mini-maze for little ones, a petting farm, pony rides, fun treats and more.

Sept. 27-Oct. 31, 2024: Nightmare on Block Street. Pinpoint Fayetteville, Fayetteville. (21+ only) This Halloween Pop-up bar will feature a new Halloween-themed menu and a complete Halloween overload. Events at other venues are also planned.

Sept. 28-Nov. 1, 2024: Asylum Haunted House, Cave Springs. 2024. Open on weekends. Open on Halloween night and Nov. 1. (This is scary.)

Oct. 4, 2024: First Friday Spooktacular, Downtown Bentonville Square.

Oct. 4, 2024: Family Night at the Museum, University of Arkansas museum, 5-8 pm., 2471 N Hatch Ave. A free and fun evening with the University of Arkansas Museum’s popular collections open house, a scavenger hunt, snacks, and crafts. It’s also an opportunity for educators to learn more about museum resources. A number of awesome community partners will be at the event as well. (Friday) Oct. 25, 2024: 

Phantasma in The Ramble, Fayetteville, 7-10 p.m.. An immersive and multi-sensory dance party amidst a stellar laser lightshow. Three DJs will be set up around the Lower Ramble in Fayetteville and friends and families will be able to show their THRILLER moves at this one-of-a-kind experience. Sponsored by Downtown Fayetteville and City of Fayetteville. Magical and always free dance party in downtown Fay! *Costumes encouraged*

Movies on the Mountain: Friday the 13th (1980)Grab your lawn chair and head to Mt. Sequoyah in Fayetteville for Movies on the Mountain, in Cottage Circle. Thanks to the generous support from Experience Fayetteville, Mt. Sequoyah is offering a fantastic lineup of classic films at just $5 per ticket. Enjoy a fun evening with popcorn, candy, sodas, and a donation-based bar featuring beer, wine, and seltzers. All proceeds from the event will support Mount Sequoyah’s initiatives and programming.

Costumes, Candy, and Cops Carnival. This annual event will be at the Benton County fairgrounds starting at 6 p.m. Admission: One dry or nonperishable food.

HallowZing at the Amazeum. This is a sensory-friendly celebration where science meets enchantment, offering a magical experience for all. Dive into the wonders of STEAM in a setting designed to accommodate everyone’s unique way of enjoying the spooky season – a Halloween treat for curious minds of all ages. 6-8 pm. Advanced registration is required.

(Adults Only) Crawl-O-Ween, presented by Downtown Bentonville. On October 25th, from 5-10 p.m., visit downtown Bentonville for a Halloween bar crawl. Whether you’re a wicked witch, a spooky Dracula, or a silly clown, costumes are highly encouraged. Grab your broomsticks, gather your ghostly crew, and prepare to haunt the best bars in town.

(Saturday) Oct. 26, 2024:

Safety Spooktacular Trunk or Treat. This is a safe place for kids to trick or treat, while simultaneously learning about injury prevention and safety techniques. Free and open to all community members. Arvest Ballpark, 2-5 p.m.

Springdale Halloween Fest, Shiloh Square, Springdale. 4-7 p.m. The Springdale Police Department and Springdale Parks and Recreation are joining together again to bring this event to Downtown Springdale and Shiloh Square. There will be free candy giveaways for the kids, touch-a-truck, carnival games, costumes, our famous pumpkin drop into Spring Creek at Turnbow Park and more.

Be(A)ware Allergy-Friendly Halloween, Fayetteville Public Library, 10 a.m. to noon. FPL is partnering with Big Box Karaoke and more to bring the event to the library for the fourth year in a row. Kids are invited to visit various allergy-friendly trick-or-treat stations and play on the Gathering Glade with games and bounce houses. It is Be(A)ware’s fourth year at the library, but the sixth year overall. This event creates a fun, inclusive and safe space for all children, those who suffer from food allergies and those who don’t. Get your costume ready for this unique celebration.

Oct. 27, 2024:

Trick Art Treat, Crystal Bridges Musuem, North Forest, Bentonville, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Have a ghoulishly good time trick-or-treating, eating candy, and capturing your genius costumes at the photo-BOO-th. They’ll also have music, live performances, and  artmaking activities for everyone—dressed up or not—to enjoy. So break out your costumes and visit the museum. Free, no tickets required.

(Wednesday) Oct. 30, 2024:

The Rocky Horror Picture Show Halloween Party, Walton Arts Center, Fayetteville. Let’s do the time warp again! Dress up as your favorite Rocky Horror character and join the party at 6pm for a pre-show costume contest, live music from Ultra Suede and spooky-fun themed cocktails and concessions … followed by a screening of this cult classic at 8 p.m.

Murder on the Oriental Rug, Sassafras Springs Vineyard and Winery, 6 p.m. Tickets required. Murder on the Oriental Rug is a hilarious play within a play with a cast of crazed characters. When half of the cast bails on their double-crossing director, the remaining performers are stuck playing all the roles. Among them are a Shakespearean actor with a drinking problem, a washed-up former child star, a bimbo with a short memory, and a hapless costumer who finds herself onstage playing a man. Then, there’s Dr. Apu Ovary, renowned hot flash specialist who’s secretly treating a famous actress trying desperately to regain her youth. Along with a myriad of other outlandish characters, the audience will also have a chance to figure out just who the murderer really is, with prizes for the best guesses. Dress Code: Wear your favorite Halloween costume for the annual costume contest.

Scarecrow Showdown Costume Parade, Botanical Garden of the Ozarks. 10-11:30 a.m. Little Sprouts is being combined with the Scarecrow Showdown Awards. Little Sprouts is a weekly botanically-themed program for preschoolers. Each week they read stories, sing songs, and do fun nature crafts & activities. Participants range in age from newborns all the way up to five-year-olds who haven’t started kindergarten yet.  At this event, kids and their families can enjoy trick-or-treating with over 25 scarecrows, yard games, raffles, and a costume parade through the Garden.

(Thursday) Oct. 31, 2024:

Goblin Candy Crawl, Railyard Park, 3:30-5:30 p.m. Pick up a trick-or-treat bag and map from the Rogers Historical Museum booth (in Railyard Park) and start your “candy crawl” around downtown. Local businesses will be open and handing out candy to all kiddos – so bring your sweet tooth. Be sure to stop by the museum at 313 S. 2nd for some treats. The first 200 kids will receive a fun RHM slap bracelet!

Flight Fright Night, Springdale Municipal Airport.  The Airport Open House and Trunk or Treat event promises a festive gathering with a unique twist, combining the thrill of aviation with the fun of Halloween.

Tontitown’s 9th Annual Halloween Trick or Treat in the Park. The event will be held Halloween night, October 31st from 5:30 to 7:30 pm in Sbanotto Park.

Trick-or-Treat on the Trail will be held 4-6:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31, in the Lower Ramble, Fayetteville. The free, fun-filled Halloween event for trick-or-treaters of all ages is open to the public. It is being held in partnership between the City of Fayetteville, Rotary Club of Fayetteville and Experience Fayetteville. Trick-or-treaters, their families and friends are invited to the trails in the Fay Jones Woods for an evening of costumed celebration. Representatives from City departments, Experience Fayetteville and the Rotary Club will be situated at stops along the trails to hand out treats.

Nov. 1, 2024:

Halloween Bash at Infiniti Athletics North, Bentonville. 5:30-8:30 p.m.
