The 2017 Arkansas sales tax holiday is this weekend, Aug. 5-6

The Sales Tax Holiday in Arkansas is this Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 5-6. Time to save some money before school starts back!

Tax-free weekend a great time to buy back-to-school clothes, shoes and certain school/art supplies because you don’t have the added expense of sales tax. CLICK HERE to read more about this annual “holiday”.

We asked Lindsay at Kindness & Joy Toys, one of our wonderful sponsors, which items they have that will be eligible for tax-free status. She said they’ll have fun backpacks, lunch boxes, pens, pencils, erasers, pencil bags, and markers.

We want to say a big congratulations to Lindsay because this weekend is Kindness and Joy Toys’ first birthday!

Last year on this weekend she held her first pop-up shop at Rick’s Bakery 🙂 Lindsay will be at her shop (which is upstairs at Sara Kathryn’s on College Ave. in Fayetteville) on Saturday to help you shop for back-to-school supplies.

If you happen to be shopping at the Northwest Arkansas Mall over the weekend, don’t forget to grab an apple for Project Apple Tree. Tax-free weekend is a good time for shoppers to choose an apple off the tree to help provide school supplies for a student at the Samaritan Community Center.
