Summer 2017: Where to swim, splash and stay cool in Northwest Arkansas

One of the best parts of summer is going swimming and there are plenty of opportunities to cool off in Northwest Arkansas this summer!

If you have a child with a summer birthday, most of the below swim spots offer birthday parties, too. If you’re looking for swim lessons, those are also available at most of these facilities. Many of these open on Saturday, May 27th, for the Memorial Day weekend.

Wilson Park Pool (opens June 3rd) + Dive-in Movies at Wilson Park (starts June 16)

Fayetteville Boys and Girls Club (indoor, open year-round)


The Jones Center pools (indoor, open year-round)

Springdale Aquatic Center (opened May 27th) The Aquatic Center will host a Dive-in Movie on July 14th, Finding Dory. Popcorn and drinks will be provided. Gates open at 7:30 p.m. and the movie starts at dusk (about 8:30 p.m.). Attendees can bring clear or transparent floats only.
