As someone who helps care for an elderly parent with dementia, I have seen up close and personal what this disease can do to someone who was once incredibly sharp, active and strong. If it could happen to my dad, I know now that it can happen to anyone.
So a news headline about dementia always gets my attention. When I saw this interview with brain surgeon Dr. Sanjay Gupta about ways to help prevent dementia, I wanted to pass it along to my fellow mamas. I’ll definitely be incorporating all three of these strategies — berries, exercise and learning new things — into my weekly agenda. Hope this video is helpful to you, too.
