The 2021 USA Pump Track Championships Series Final

The USA Pump Track Championships Series Final will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Runway Bike Park’s Velosolutions Pump Track — one of the largest pump tracks in the U.S. — on the campus of The Jones Center, 922 E. Emma Ave. The race is the culmination of USA Pump Track Championship qualifying rounds held across the U.S. in North Carolina, Texas and California. The two winners of the 17+ open category will go on to compete in the 2021 Red Bull UCI Pump Track World Championships on Oct. 15-17, 2021 in Lisbon, Portugal. The USA Pump Track Championships Series Final is open to registered riders of all skill levels from ages 7 to 35+. Riders must register by 12 p.m. CST on Friday, Sept. 3 – the day before the race.

Art on the Bricks

Visit pop-up art exhibits from regional artists 4:30 – 7:30 p.m. and live music from 7 – 9 p.m. the second Thursday of every month. Enjoy a broad mix of talented artists, craftsmen and musicians sharing their talent in indoor and outdoor locations. Businesses and artists participating changes from month to month, but the art experiences consistently provide new and interesting opportunities. A free, family friendly experience.

Preschool Playdate: Faces and Places

When we promise that Crystal Bridges can be fun for the whole family, we mean the WHOLE family. So let’s give the preschoolers a turn! Join us for an afternoon of kid-friendly fun as we craft, explore, and play our way through the museum. From a kick-off performance by SHAKY BUGS in the Great Hall to colorful mask-making in the Studio, we’ve got plenty of creative activities for your growing artist to enjoy. And, with it all being inspired by the artworks in our permanent collection, you know they’ll be learning every step of the way. Free, no registration required. Per the CDC’s updated guidelines, we are now requiring all guests ages 2 and up and staff to wear a face covering indoors and while attending outdoor programs, except while eating or drinking. Masks will be available upon entry for those who do not have one. We will observe social distancing during this program.

Homeschool Adventures: Bone Lab

Calling all aspiring paleontologists: dig into the past to uncover fossils, ancient creatures and more. In this child drop-off program, each weekly experience explores concepts of STEAM through creative, hands-on explorations. During each series, we scaffold our adventures from week to week, adding a deep-dive, interactive component and experience to your homeschool curriculum.

Little Tinkers | Architecture Adventure

Are you ready to embark on a building journey? Curiosity about materials and tools drives this building site. Little Tinkers enjoy putting things together in structures and patterns as they explore with building and designing. Join us and lay foundations for your Little Tinker’s learning, one block at a time. Designed for children ages 3-6 years old and one adult caregiver. Pre-registration and payment are required. Tontitown Classic Car Show

The Annual Tontitown Classic Car Show will take place September 18, from 8 a.m. – 2 p.m. at Harry Sbanotto Park in the heart of Tontitown at 235 E. Henri De Tonti Blvd. There will be trophies awarded for various categories, with an award ceremony at 1:30p.m.  Pre-registration is free, registration the day of the show is $5.00.  This event will take place alongside the Tontitown Farmers Market and the annual Tontitown Bocce Ball Tournament. There will be several food vendors onsite as well as produce vendors, baked goods, jams, jellies, jewelry, and more. So load up the family and join us to carry on this Tontitown tradition.

Natural State Beer Oktoberfest

Calling all beer lovers in Northwest Arkansas: Natural State Beer Company of Rogers, Arkansas is hosting its first Oktoberfest Fundraiser at the Village on the Creeks and bringing some of the best breweries and beers from our area to one location with this event.

This year’s event will feature live music throughout the day. General Admission ticket holders will have food off the grill. KombiKeg NWA will be onsite to help us tailgate properly and watch the Razorback Game from their rooftop TV.

VIP Ticketholders will enjoy time with honorary chair, Andrea Albright, SVP/GMM Walmart, at Modoko for a special Beer Pairing dinner prepared by Chef Ryan and NSBC’s head brewer, Will Sonneman. Exclusive access to wine and cocktails as well as some fun desserts.

In addition to door prizes and additional fundraising games with prizes, each ticket holder will get a “Swag Bag” with donated products, a pretzel necklace, and a commemorative glass. Games and prizes throughout the day are sure to provide additional fun and excitement for a great cause.

Opening of an Amazeum Traveling Gallery

Since its inception in the late 19th century, the bicycle has affected how people live, work and play. From schoolyards and city streets to bike trails in the Mountain Bike Capital of the World, we encounter bicycles every day. The bicycle is an elegant example of how basic science principles, materials and innovative design combine to beautifully harness force and motion. GEAR UP contains display bikes from the 1930s through the present day and hands on experiences that demonstrate the forces at play when riding a bicycle. On display from September 24 to January 10.

Super Saturday: Jugglology

Don’t miss your chance to see this juggling show and learn how to juggle from a world champion. At its core, juggling is about taking what you can hold in your hands and building with it, no matter the difficulty or frustration. This forty-five minute program focuses on teaching children about character development through the use of circus arts. Oktoberfest in Bentonville

Mark your calendars, secure your lederhosen and plan on attending Bentonville’s Oktoberfest celebration. What can be better than sharing an incredible array of food, beer and live music with friends AND all for a good cause?

The Rotary Satellite Club of Bentonville is hosting Oktoberfest with proceeds benefiting the Children’s Advocacy Center of Benton County and Havenwood. The party will be at First National Bank in Bentonville (inside and outside!), and we will have live music (Fuzzy Logic on stage), delicious German food, and complimentary beer on tap from local and home brewers. There will be a Stein Hoist (how long can you hold your stein?) prizes, silent auction, costumes, and plenty of room to connect with friends in our beer garden.
