The Northwest Arkansas Naturals has teamed up with Toys for Tots again this holiday season to collect toys for underprivileged children in Northwest Arkansas.
Members of the Naturals staff, representatives from Toys for Tots, and on-air personalities from local radio station partners will be on hand this Saturday (December 19) from 10 A.M. till 5 P.M. for the Toys for Tots Triple-Play Toy Drive.
Toys for Tots and the Naturals are aiming to reach their goal of filling a storage crate with new, unwrapped holiday gifts. Red Dirt Outfitters, the official team store of the Naturals, will also be open and be featuring a storewide sale with 30-50% off select items. Naturals fans donating an unwrapped toy to the Toys for Tots Triple-Play Toy Drive can receive an Naturals Holiday tree ornament, while supplies last.
Toys for Tots has been a recognizable program every Christmas since 1947. The program is run by the US Marine Corps Reserve with the mission “to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to needy children in the community in which the campaign is conducted.”
Although last year several million toys were distributed to 7.5 million needy children across the country, Toys for Tots is committed to keeping toys donated in Northwest Arkansas for the sole benefit of underprivileged youth in the greater area.
