If you’ve been listening to Magic 107.9 at 7:45 a.m. this week you know we’ve been talking about kids and school in our fun little segment. Today we tackled the big fat homework problem. Sometimes it gets to be too much. How’s the homework load at your house? Too much? Just right?
We did a little research on this found an article in Psychology Today (see the link below) which noted that kids should have about 10 minutes of homework per grade level. So for a fifth grader, that would be around 50 minutes of homework. When kids don’t have enough free time to play or hang out with friends, it can cause a lot of problems like childhood obesity, sleep deprivation or even depression.
