Good luck in the drawing!
This event sounds like so much fun! One of my favorite pieces of artwork done by my daughter is a Thanksgiving handprint made to look like a turkey. So cute! Thanks for the opportunity to win these tickets!
Girl, you know I don’t believe in “LUCK” however I would love to win!!!!!!!!!!!
We have a fingerprint butterfly framed from our one year old son that we adore!
I love these handprint Christmas ornaments my kids made out of clay.
Sounds like a fun night! My favorite piece of “art work” from my little boy is a Christmas ornament he made out of foam pieces for our tree. It makes me smile each time I take it out of the box in December.
My favorite piece of art is from my son who was just learning to write his letters. It is on canvas & is tons of the letter H for my name & the letter S for my husband. It looks like a million bucks but is priceless!
My FB friends know this one, since my life is recorded there, but Caroline drew a heart and wrote, “I love you Mommy owas and forevr.” It touched my heart deeply. I hugged her, took a photo of her and gushed over the heart. A few minutes later she came back with another heart that said, “I love ME owas and forevr!” It’s nice to know I’m raising a child with a strong self-image!
Mine changes all the time….currrently, my first hand made mothers day card that I got this year. My three year old made it at school. When she explained it to me she told me the circle like object on the back was me and the scribble inside was “happy mothers day I love you”
My absolute favorite piece of art is one by my daughter! She drew it about 5 months ago and it is a picture of myself and my husband. We loved it so much we had it framed and have it hanging in our bedroom!
My favorite has to be the pictures I got for my second mothers day. My husband took finger paints and let our then 15 month old daughter and let her play. She brought them to me all covered in paint and she was so proud. They are framed and still hang on our walls 7 years later
My son loves to write his initial,”J”. He loves it so much, that he wrote it as big as he could on every sheet of an entire pack of printer paper. Then he told me they were to share with kids who didn’t have Js on their names!:)
I love that Bentonville has such a great community that supports these events. I was recently in Tulsa feeling a little home sick for the big city life we left behind when we moved from K.C. they were having a concert in the park at Utica Square adn it was all so nice and fun but then when I left that area I quickly was reminded of some of the not so great things a big city can bring, the next day I left Tulsa to come home and got home just in time for First Fridays on the square and felt so proud and happy about where we live and are raising our daughter! Such a wonderful sense of community and such great artist right at our fingertips. We are so blessed to live in a small town that truly cares about their neighbors!
When my daughter was in 3rd grade she decorated a jewelry box. I think she used every piece of glitter, rhinestone, bead, and flashy thing she could find. She then personalized it with my name it was spelled ANGLA. I of course saw that the E was missing from my name but did not mention it. When I opened it she then said that the teacher was all out of E’s so that was the best she could do. I gave her a kiss and hug and told her that I loved it. I have used it since (she is now in 7th grade) it holds my valuable jewelry.
When we first moved into our house, we had spent every penny we had on getting into it. We were pretty strapped for cash for decorations. I picked up a few canvases and Hobby Lobby and let my 2 year old son at the canvases. The bright “abstract” art hangs in our kitchen today!
Would love to see Peel Mansion.
All of my daughter’s artwork is fridge-worthy! How can you not love a 2-year-old’s art talents? Her macaroni art is my favorite to date, though. : )
Both of my girls love to make art and I love getting it. One of my favorite pieces right now is from my 19 month old because of the fun she has with it. She made the piece with her daycare workers, there is a picture of her in the middle. She loves carrying it around, points to the picture and says ‘baby’, kisses her picture and then dances with it. So cute!
One of my kiddos made me a paper purse with a secret I love you message inside. It was priceless.
Rainbow painting is one of my favorites. It’s the 1st piece of art that I could tell what my
daughter was drawing.
Wow! I so want to go to this! I’ve always wanted to visit the Peel Mansion and love live music.
My favorite piece of artwork is the pottery rose that my son made me for my birthday this year. It is just beautiful and he sprayed it with my favorite perfume, so it smells great too! Don’t know where I would be without my beautiful children!
This sounds like it would be a great night! I would love to go!
I love any piece of art with my babies handprints.
my son Bayn has a dry-erase board for when he was learning his letters. He came to me on Mother’s Day after I’d gotten the bestest present from him to date (a clay plate with his handprint on it, which he colored orange and green for the University of Miami, where I went to school that he made at school), he had the dry-erase board behind his back and said “Mommy, I got a surprise for you, close your eyes ok?” I did. When he told me to open them it was a drawing of him, his step-dad and myself that said “I luv my mommy mor than the sun”. Gosh I love that kid.
Unfortunately I don’t have any GREAT kid’s art stories yet. My son is 13 months old, but I look forward to receiving some in the years to come. I used to laugh at my mom and grandma for holding onto TRASH that me and my sisters designed or drew, but now w/age I realize they were masterpieces to them!
I love a picture my daughter painted on a canvas which is 3 stick figures(dad, mom, her).
A sweet picture just the other day while I ws sick in bed, she drew me sick in bed and her bringing me the picture that she had just drawm. So sweet and I have already filed it in my special keepsake folder-treasured art work:-)april
My daughter once wrote “I love you more than there are stars” on a piece of paper. She was about 6. I now have it matted and framed in my living room. It’s a treasure.
My daughter made me a beautiful necklace, and insisted that I wear it. It was long, and colorful, and edible! In preschool, she strung fruit loops cereal on yarn for me. It was very special to her because she made it and could give her special necklace. It was special to me, because she chose me to give it to!
I received many complements on my fancy jewelry, and she glowed each time that I told someone that she was the artist!
My granddaughter made me a handprint fish when she was in Head Start. I love it. This experience would be great to win and I’ve always wanted to go to Peel Mansion. Thanks for the opportunity.
My favorite art so far was a little butterfly book that my 4 year old colored in preschool. I didn’t notice until he showed me, but he had written his name in yellow crayon! I didn’t even know he could write his name! =-)
My sweet niece gives me a piece of pottery every year for Christmas. They are all different but all have her name and either a hand or foot print. So far 6 precious pottery paintings adorn my office walls!!
Owen cut me a “dinosaur” out of paper for Mother’s Day! I loved it!!! I was thankful he told me what it was : ) I could just imagine him cutting it with his scissors working hard as he perfects his work with scissors!!! He was so proud of it!
