Do you love the movie Tootsie as much as we do? It’s an 80’s classic. And we’re so excited that Tootsie is now a musical comedy designed for the stage! This week we’re giving away TWO tickets to see Tootsie on stage at Walton Arts Center on January 17, 2023.
This will be such a fun date night or Girls Night Out! Or you could take your older teen to this show, since it’s recommended for ages 13 and up.
ABOUT THE SHOW:
Call it “musical comedy heaven” (Rolling Stone). Call it “the most uproarious new musical in years!” (The Hollywood Reporter). Call it TOOTSIE! This laugh-out-loud love letter to the theater tells the story of Michael Dorsey, a talented but difficult actor who struggles to find work until one show-stopping act of desperation lands him the role of a lifetime.
Featuring a hilarious Tony®-winning book by Robert Horn and an outrageously clever score by 2018 Tony-winner David Yazbek (The Band’s Visit, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels), this New York Times Critic’s Pick is “a joyful delight” (The Washington Post) that’s “so packed with punchlines, it should be called a jokebox musical!” (Bloomberg). “In these turbulent times, when the world seems out of balance, we need a place to let the good times roll,” raves Rolling Stone. “TOOTSIE is it!”
“THE LAUGH-OUTLOUD FUNNIEST MUSICAL OF THE SEASON” – Rolling Stone
HOW TO ENTER:
Here’s some Tootsie trivia: The title of the movie was Dustin Hoffman’s idea. His mother had a dog named Tootsie! So if you’d love to win these 2 tickets to see Tootsie on January 17, 2023 at the Walton Arts Center, scroll down to the bottom of the post (past the comments posted by other local moms) and tell us the name of a dog you love (or have loved in the past). It can be a real dog or one on TV or a movie, too.
(Shannon and I have a long list of family fur babies, but our current ones are Cooper, Charlie, Mac, Harley and Pascha! We also really loved the cute Jack Russel Terrier named Eddie on the old sitcom Frasier.)
