Note from the mamas: Congratulations to Robin Smith, winner of these tickets. Have fun, Robin!
Little kids will LOVE this show!
Grug by Windmill Theatre is coming to Walton Arts Center on Saturday, May 18, 2013 at 10 a.m., 12 noon and 2 p.m. It’s best for ages 1-6 and is based on the picture book by Ted Prior.
And great news: We’ve got 4 tickets to give away to the show!
HOW TO ENTER: If you’d like to win these 4 Grug tickets, click on the words “post a comment” below and tell us why you’d love to see a show at Walton Arts Center right now. Would this be your kids’ first time to see a live theatre show? Do you just need life to slow down a little and enjoy a “date” with your favorite little people?
ABOUT GRUG: Grug began his life as the top of a Burrawang tree that fell to the ground. Resembling a small, striped haystack with feet and a nose, Grug is fascinated by the world around him and solves everyday problems creatively and without fuss.
Parcels are delivered, each one bringing a new element into the unfolding story. The hillside set transforms into Grug’s home, his garden, even under the sea.
When snails eat his cabbages, Grug plants more cabbages so there will be enough for both him and the snails. When dancing instructions are too difficult to understand, he invents his own dance and calls it ‘The Grug.’ Ted Prior’s hugely popular character is brought to life in this magical stage production for very young theatre lovers.

Neither my kids nor myself have gotten to see a show at the Walton Arts Center. I would love to take them! I have only heard wonderful things about it. 🙂
My oldest has been to one show at WAC but before my youngest was born, so now the time is perfect—a 1 year old and a 6 year old!
We just moved here in February and we have NEVER been to the WAC! My six year old also has never seen a live show. And with 4 tickets I can take his best friends with him to see it!! 😀 We have been wanting to see this for awhile!!!
My children love going to see shows at the WAC. I am so thankful to have such a great facility with kid friendly shows just minutes from home. I shared on FB and Twitter too.
I love doing anything with my young grand daughters. What a great time we would have seeing Grug.
We haven’t had much family time lately, so a show would be great!
The Walton Arts Center is a special place for our family, a place we don’t go often but when we do we get dressed up and act fancy! It’s a special experience for the kids to see theatre 🙂
My little girl loves plays!!! Would love to see the show 🙂
WAC experiences are always memorable and positive.
I’d just love to treat my son!
This show would be great because we just need a fun little get away to escape from the stress of finishing out the school year.
It would be the first time mine would see a show at WAC. Plus, we definitely need some time together having fun!!
I’ve never been brave enough to buy 4 tickets to something I may have to step out of after 30 minutes. 🙂 So we’ve never been to a live performance as a family of four! And solving problems without complaining? Sounds like something my kids (and sometimes myself) need to learn about!
