The Happy Hour events at the Walmart AMP have been so much fun lately! It’s a great way to get out of the house and enjoy the cooler fall temperatures, while also hearing some awesome live music. This week we’ve got one final giveaway for a reader (and 3 of her friends) to attend a Happy Hour event with a free reserved table.
From now until October 9, 2020, the Walmart AMP is hosting weekly Happy Hour events which feature signature cocktails, specialty food, games like cornhole, and free live music from various bands in our region. Sounds fun, right? And don’t worry because safety precautions WILL be in place and the event will be held outside, which reduces risk of exposure.
The Walmart AMP now has a brand new outdoor space to use for these Happy Hour events. Remember all the construction going on at the AMP last year and earlier this year? Now it’s finished, and it’s called the “Choctaw Plaza.”
While you’re enjoying the new plaza, you’ll have access to specialty food items, signature cocktails, cornhole games, and free live music on selected nights. (Just bring a credit or debit card because the cocktails and food menu will be available for cashless purchase, which reduces risk.)
Proceeds from the purchase of drinks and food go to support the Ghost Light Recovery Fund, which will help Walton Arts Center offset lost revenue from canceled performances, continue education and intermission programming, maintain facilities and support staff until full-scale performances can resume.
Some of the best local and regional bands will perform from 6-8 pm during Happy Hour nights.
Remaining dates and scheduled performers for Happy Hour include:
- Boom Kinetic on Thursday, Sept. 24
- Arkansauce on Friday, Sept. 25
- Uncrowned Kings on Friday, Oct. 2
- The Rosy Hips on Saturday, Oct. 3*
- Dial Up on Friday, Oct. 9
Entrance is free but capacity is limited, and tables are available on a first-come, first-served basis. A limited number of tables can be reserved in advance for $25 by calling 479.443.5600 or visiting www.amptickets.com.
Table reservations open on Monday for that week’s happy hours and close 48 hours prior to each event.
The Walmart AMP has implemented additional health and safety precautions to protect patrons and staff from the spread of COVID-19. These precautions have been approved by the Arkansas Department of Health. For a complete list of health and safety protocols and for additional bands and dates as they are confirmed, please visit www.amptickets.com.

My mother! I’ve gone back to work after being at home 7 months, due to COVID and on maternity leave. So now she’s taking care of my 3 little blessings that are 8 years,3 years and 3 mths old, while I’m back at work. So she most definitely deserves to flaunt that crown!
While I have had many heroes and those that deserve crowns, at this time I will say my boss. She just gets it–that being a mom is hard sometimes and there are often times you can’t be in two places at the same time. It’s o.k. to put the kids 1st. She trusts I do my job and allows me the flexibility to taxi my kiddos because I don’t want them riding the bus during this pandemic! There aren’t a lot of bosses like that.
My 4 best friends make it possible to be single mom and wear as many hats as I do. It truly takes a village to raise a child and I’m so thankful for my village.
My BFF for being a friend that can always make me laugh, listens, and gets me out of the house (for socially distanced drinks on a patio!).
My husband teaches our kids, cleans the house, grocery shops, and just goes above and beyond to love on me. He definitely deserves a crown.
My husband needs a crown for all he does for me. He deserves a night out. We miss live music so much.
My sister, Amanda Stacy deserves a crown 👑 because October 2nd is her actual bday and she’s coming to NWA to see me!! She is an adoptive mom to a special needs boy who constantly puts everyone’s needs before hers. What mother doesn’t, I know BUT it’s her actual bday and we are going out with our other two sisters for a night out in NWA!! Pick us, 🖐 pick US 🖐
