It’s that time of year again. Moms all over Northwest Arkansas will be standing on sidelines or sitting in bleachers watching our kids play sports. While it’s exciting to watch your kid be part of a game, it’s also scary to think about the potential for sports injuries. That’s why it’s important for parents of athletes to know as much as they can about sports medicine and overall fitness for athletes.
Click the video “play” button below to see Dr. Andrew Leuders (who is a former college football player) talk about what parents need to know about sports medicine and how to get more educated about your child’s particular sport.
To schedule an appointment with Dr. Leuders, call the Mercy Family Clinic at 479-338-5555. It’s located on Rife Medical Lane in Rogers, just off Interstate 540.
Doc Talk is a bi-monthly feature made possible by the doctors and nurses of Mercy Health, who are generous with their time and provide video answers to questions submitted by local mothers.
