Nothing strikes fear in the heart of a mama faster than a suspected case of the horrible, the dreaded…. STOMACH FLU! Ugh. If you’ve ever had it or seen it travel through your family with lightning speed, you know it’s not pretty. And we mamas go out of our way to avoid catching it or having one of our kids catch it.
When the weather gets colder, the stomach flu tends to make the rounds more often. So we asked Dr. Chris Johnson of Rogers Medical Center to tell us what we really need to know about preventing the stomach flu and — if we’re not so lucky — treating it when it strikes. Click the play arrow on the video window below to watch Dr. Johnson’s answer.
If you’d like to schedule an appointment with Dr. Johnson or any physician at Rogers Medical Center, call 479-338-5555 or CLICK HERE to visit the clinic’s website. Rogers Medical Center is located on the first floor of the Mercy Physician Plaza at 2708 Rife Medical Lane in Rogers. (We’ve personally interviewed the doctors and nurses at this practice and they are SUPER nice.)
Our thanks to Dr. Johnson for the helpful information, and here’s hoping that our fellow mamas manage to steer clear of the dreaded stomach bug this year!
