Bentonville Bark Park Grand Opening Tomorrow!

entrance.jpgThe grand opening of the Bentonville Bark Park is tomorrow (Saturday, Oct. 24) from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. So load up your dogs and check out Northwest Arkansas’ new off-leash dog park!

The event — which is sponsored by NWAdogparks.com — is expected to pull in over 500 people (we didn’t get a canine count) and there will be over 25 vendors including the Bentonville K9 unit. (Click here to see a list of vendors.)

The highlight? A “Howl-A-Ween” dog costume contest from noon to 1!

hydrant_pawty-house.jpgThe Rogers Humane Society will be accepting food and pet-related donations at their booth. For each item donated, you will receive an entry into a raffle for a prize basket valued at over $100.

The park, on North Walton Boulevard, has 1.3 acres of fenced lawns, trees and benches. There’s a side for bigs and a side for littles. We’re particularly partial to the cute “relief stations” like the one pictured at right.

Enjoy the dog park and maybe your pooch will win in the costume contest!
