The Fayetteville Half Marathon is coming up, but they also have a (much shorter!) run for families called the “Magic Mile” the day before.
Saturday, December 11th will feature the Magic Mile. One of the fastest one-mile courses in the world, this one’s great because it’s all downhill. There will be adult and youth categories. This is a great way for kids and parents to run an easy course, the “Magic Mile”. Also, a Family Friendly Vendor Retail Expo with interactive games, demonstrations, industry representatives and local retailers will follow at the Fayetteville Town Center.
On Sunday, December 12, there will be a half-distance marathon, 5K, and 1 mile fun run/walk. The Fayetteville Half Marathon will visit some of Fayetteville’s most unique spots. An unrivaled aspect to this event will be the finish line…the John McDonnell Outdoor Track Complex! Runners will enter the track and make a lap with crowds cheering them on from the stands. After Sundays runs, there will be a fun post-race celebration held at the stadium.
