It’s all about stunts and acrobatics in this toe-tapping musical by French Canadian circus company, Cirque Alfonse.
Taking inspiration from the woods surrounding their own real-life family farm, Timber! presented by Cirque Alfonse includes talented tumblers and musicians who create a crazily-unique acrobatic experience set in the world of loggers and traditional Canadian farm life.
The experience looks and smells authentic.

The artists perform incredible feats of aerial acrobatics that are directly inspired by the natural raw materials of the forest and the equipment used on the farm. There are balancing acts on tree stumps and the sound of banjos and men with bushy beards performing synchronized axe juggling.
Not only does Cirque Alfonse represent three generations from one family, it also features professional acrobats from the École Nationale de Cirque de Montreal, as well as professional dancers, an ex-skiing champion and three talented and versatile musicians.

When my daughter Kali was one (before she could even walk), I caught her climbing the bookcase. She was a few shelves up when I rushed over to rescue her. I hadn’t set the wall anchors yet, because I thought I had another year or two before that was necessary. Thankfully, the shelf stayed put and Mama learned a valuable lesson — and had the wall anchors attached immediately!

My son loves to try new things – from the climbing wall at Lewis and Clark to performing his own Cirque du Soleil in the living room. This would be right up his alley!
When my oldest son, who is most definitely the daredevil of the family, was about 8 years old, I came out of the back of the house to find him on top of the garage (think: tall, pitch roof!) attempting to tie a rope and bucket through an old antique crank-handle pulley system that was attached to the top front-face of the garage. I quickly yelled up to him: WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU ARE DOING? And without even taking his eyes of his busy work, he yelled back down: Rigging this up so I can lower my little brother down and myself down.
Yep. And there he was, perched up next to his big brother – little Zach. All of 6 years old. Eagerly waiting his turn to be put into the bucket and hoisted down.
I knew THAT day I was going to be in big trouble. 🙂
My son was camping in the living room and I saw him rubbing 2 blocks together. He told me that he was trying to get his fire going. Oh geez!! We would love to attend the show!!
My daughter at age of 3 decided she wanted to crawl down from top of bleachers bypassing the stepps and going down the handrais, she slid all way to the bottom landing head first causing a large gaping hole in her head. All this was done before we could even reach her…
At the age of 2 my mom and dad decided to through a supper bowl party but before anyone showed up i decided to bite the tube of eye drops and they were my brothers and so instead of having fun at the party we spent the whole day at the hospital hooked up to a heart monitor

The boys, who share a room with bunk beds, were supposed to be napping while I folded laundry. I finally heard the youngest yelling “Jonas! I’m stuck! Go get Mommy! I’m seriously stuck!”…to which his older brother replied, “Noah, can’t you see I’m reading?”
I walk into the room to see the three year old dangling upside down between the top bunk and the wall, while his older brother sat there calmly and read.
And side note, we just had a daughter, Tallulah Danger. So, c’mon.

Just before my son turned 2 he decided to jump off a picnic table. It resulted in our 1st trip to the ER and a broken arm in 2 places 🙁
It’s always with Mama or Daddy right behind her, but my almost three year old loves to be on top of any and all furniture and cabinets. If there’s a mirror, it’s even better. She jumps, dances, and plays up there until we have to finally make her play on ground level. How boring!

My son loves anything that has to do with climbing. I took him to the rock wall at Lewis and Clark and he not only climbed to the top of that huge wall once but twice and rang the bell at the top both times! He and my daughter would love to see this show!
My sons favorite activity is jumping from couch to couch in our living room. He would love this!
My kids would love this!! I remember when my now 12 year old was 2 and he would crawl across the tippy top bar of the swing set. He has no fear!
My son Jonas loves to climb and swing on anything. It makes me a nervous wreck. He would love this show.
When my son was 3, I found him sitting inside one of my boot boxes rocking back and forth on the top stair. Before I caught him, he rode down and went splat at the bottom of the stairs. Thankfully, he only had a few carpet burns!
When my youngest daughter was a baby, she would climb ANYTHING! She couldn’t walk yet. But, she could scale nearly every piece of furniture in the house!!!! She would absolutely love this show!!!!
My two year old loves to give us a heart attack by climbing park equipment (think – stairs and ladders that are steep and with huge gaps between) designed for much older children. She has no fear! We’d love this show! I’m also a Twitter follower!
Just before vacation last summer my son was riding his bike and decided to jump or get over the curb. He ended up falling and breaking both wrists before heading to the beach. Sadly, he was hesitant about getting back on his bike but plan on getting him excited about it as we go into a new summer.
When I was younger and did not have children, I went bungee jumping off a bridge in New Zealand. This is something I did and THEN told my parents about it. Afterall, why make them worry? It was amazing! I would love to take my children to this show so they could see performers whose feet stay on the ground, for the most part anyway! Plus, I am from Wisconsin and fascinated by lumberjacks!
This show sounds amazing! I’ve blocked out the danger moments with my kids—I know there will be more to come but I’ll take it one day at a time! (I’m also a Twitter follower!)

My 11 month old sometimes forgets she can’t walk. She will let go of whatever she’s holding onto and try to take a step and just fall right on her face. But she tries it again the next day. Perhaps this is her “fake it till you make it” approach to walking ?!

My two youngest are always performing some new daring stunt. Climbing on tables, jumping off the sofa onto whatever object is near. They keep me busy!

On a hike on the war eagle trail at Withrow Springs I was taking a picture. When I turned around one of my twins was sitting on the edge of the cliff just enjoying the view. Scared me to death!
My daughter did a zip line several years ago when she was probably around 7 years old. I was so impressed because this is not her personality at all!

Well I didn’t think it was dangerous at the time, but I gave my 9 year old daughter a glass jar to catch fireflies. She tripped going down some brick steps and fell on the glass jar with her hand. She required Sixteen stitches 4 that were internal. Yes that made my heart skip a beat. Not so big on glass anymore.
My 2 sons jump from table to couch to floor then back to table then jump over the dog then jump off the couch over each other onto the floor, jump from the top rung of their bunk bed ladder, etc. etc. It is scary! Thanks for the giveaway!

MY SON, OF COURSE AT THE AGE OF 1.5, DID NOT KNOW THIS WAS A DARING ACT…….HOWEVER IT ALMOST GAVE ME A HEART ATTACK.
I HAD JUST TAKEN HIM OUT OF HIS BATH AND WENT TO THE LAUNDRY ROOM TO GET FRESH TOWLES OUT OF THE DRYER HE STAYED IN THE BATHROOM AND GOT INTO ALL OF THE DRAWERS. HE FOUND MY HUSBAND BEARD TRIMMING SCISSORS AND WAS WALKING AROUND WITH THEM SAYING “CHOPPY CHOPPY” AND CAME TOWARDS ME. HE WAS SOOOOOO CLOOOSE TO CHOPPING HIS JEWELS OFF THAT I ALMOST CRIED. I SLOWLY WALKED TOWARD HIM AND SAID “THOSE ARE VERRRRRRY DANGEROUS. NOT A GOOD CHOICE”. ALL THE WHILE TRYING NOT TO CRY. ALL I COULD THINK OF WAS A LITTLE MAN PART BEING CHOPPED OFF AND US RUNNING TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM AND TRYING TO EXPLAIN THAT!

When my son was about 3, he was jumping on the bed and went flying. He hit his head on the side table and busted it open. Luckily it was just inside the hairline and we got away without stitches.
My 2 yr old decided it was a good idea to dive off the back of the couch like he does in the pool atraight into the tile floor! A trip to the doctor for the huge knot on his head and to check for a concussion happened. If I was superwoman maybe my dive to catch him would have been quicker from the kitchen but it wasn’t : ( no real damage was done though just a knot on the head. Boys!
We had a 2nd floor balcony that overlooked our den.. My children would hang by rope and act out stunts from the movie “Home Alone” when the babysitter was there!!
My son was taking parcor lessons for awhile. He would completely freak me out the way he would jump and flip over the furniture. Crazy kid.
My son is not much of a “dare devil” but he has always enjoyed riding scooters, skateboards, or anything else with wheels. We were visiting a friend and he decided to jump on his razor trikke and take of down the hill. Little did he know how fast those things went, nor did I….He got to the bottom of the hill and really bit the dust. Knees and elbows were flying end over end. He had a few bruises and scrapes but he still loves to tell that story.
My 1 year old decided to climb out of the bath tub by himself- and in the process knocked out one toothe and chipped three others 🙁
When my son was 6, I bought him a 3 wheeled green machine to ride down the street. Well , he decides he wants to see 3 wheels make 2 and tries to hit the side of every driveway so he can ride the thing sideways on 2 wheels down the street. Thank goodness for helmets. Many scrapes later, he finally quit.
My youngest is the more coordinated one, when he was about 14 months old I left the room for 30 seconds and when I came back I caught him balancing on the arm of the couch. Little stinker gets excited by physical challenges. He now proudly proclaims “Did it” after doing something challenging. 🙂
My little girl is always riding her bike down our very steep driveway. She goes so fast it terrifies me! She hasn’t had a wreck yet thank goodness!
Roller coasters! My kids love ANY roller coaster they can get on!
When my daughter was just a toddler, she would climb on top of my dresser. It scared me to death! I ended up putting her in gymnastics – the safe way to climb lol!
My son loves to roll down our “very steep” and curvy driveway on his trike as fast as he can go and drift just as he hits the sidewalk so as not to go into the street. Scary, though I must admit he’s gotten pretty good at it and I love that smilish smirk he gives as he looks back at me fearlessly.
I told my daughter who was 18 months to go wake her brother up. Instead of waking her brother up she climbed up to the top bunk yelling night night.
My 18 month old likes to climb up on top of furniture and yell when she can’t get down.
My son Zach, who is 8, loves to give me daily heart attacks with his aggressive playing. He just recently had his 3rd surgery on his nose-literally this past Friday. He has since taken several shots to the face with a soccer ball during his soccer games and recess the past two days. He climbs on any and everything and jumps off everything.
I love him with all my heart but I always say he’s going to give me a heart attack with his stunts.
