Family Story Time with Ms. Jessica
Join Ms. Jessica for a fun story time in our new Walmart Story Time Room. FPL recommends that unvaccinated and partially vaccinated persons wear masks. At youth programs, we recommend that children wear masks since children age 11 and under are unable to be vaccinated. Persons who are fully vaccinated are not required to wear a mask. If parents have specific questions related to masks at a program, please email jsmith@faylib.org.

Fireworks Spectacular
Celebrate the holiday with a patriotic concert by the Symphony of Northwest Arkansas; fireworks sponsored by the city of Rogers and fun activities for the whole family. This event gives the community an opportunity to experience a patriotic pops performance at NWA’s premier outdoor amphitheater. SoNA’s concert will celebrate the beauty and grandeur of America and honor our nation’s veterans and those who bravely serve in our nation’s armed forces. A special offer is available for First Responders: use code THANKU for $5 tickets.
Time: Gates open at 6 p.m.; music starts at 7:30 p.m. and fireworks start at 9:15 p.m.

Fabrication Lab Orientation
Been dying to get into the Fabrication Lab to make something? This is your opportunity to learn all the safety rules and discover the innovative tools within this space. All Fabrication Lab users will be required to attend an orientation before gaining access to this space, so don’t miss your chance to get making over the summer.
Learn how to safely operate the tools within the Fabrication Lab and begin to plan your first maker project. Completion of this orientation class will result in ongoing access to the Fabrication Lab during open maker hours.
Equipment includes: 3D printers, laser cutters, CNC router, heat press and more. Please do not wear loose fitting clothing, jewelry and tie back long hair. Please, no open-toe shoes. Attendees under 12 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Please only register for one Fabrication Lab Orientation.

Art on the Bricks Art Walk
This Downtown Rogers event is back in person showcasing the art of regional artists. Pop-up art exhibits happen from 4:30 – 7:30 p.m., and live music from 7 – 9 p.m. the second Thursday of every month. Enjoy a mix of talented artists, craftsmen and musicians sharing their talent at indoor and outdoor locations.
This free, family friendly experience is coordinated by the Rogers-Lowell Area Chamber of Commerce in partnership with Visit Rogers, business owners, area non-profit organizations and participating artists from across Northwest Arkansas.

Firefly Fling
The magic of the Firefly Fling returns to the Botanical Garden on Saturday, July 10. Dress up as your favorite fairy or woodland creature and join us for one of Northwest Arkansas’ most anticipated mid-summer events. Community groups will offer engaging and fun activities, plus love entertainment throughout the day.

Opening of Light Moments: Photography exhibit
Photographs of TheatreSquared productions by nationally recognized commercial photographer Wesley Hitt and his personal photos, “Light Moments: Photography by Wesley Hitt,” will be exhibited beginning at 5 p.m. July 15 at Theatre Squared. This family friendly exhibit and its opening are free and open to the public. The exhibition is slated to run through Aug. 14.

Amazeum 6th Birthday: Blocks and Sticks
We’re celebrating 6 years of creativity DIY-style. Bring your curiosity to the Scott Family Amazeum July 15 through 17, explore hands-on activities and discover how wood and other materials work together. What “wood” you build with thousands of blocks, hundreds of sticks and as many natural materials as you can find? Amazeum 6th birthday activities are included in paid daily admission or free to members.

Pollinator Party
We’re throwing a pollinator party, and you’re invited! Can you guess which insects and critters will attend? Meet Dr. Neelendra Joshi, an entomologist from the University of Arkansas, and learn about nature’s gardeners and what they do to keep the world green and blooming. Then, flex your creative muscles and join us for some all-ages artmaking. Decorate your very own binoculars so you can spot birds, bees, beetles, and butterflies on our beautiful grounds and at home. Free, all supplies will be provided.

Rogers Cycling Festival
The 2021 Rogers Cycling Festival (RCF) is a great way to get out, stay active, and spend time with family while enjoying the beautiful scenery, roads, and trails of Rogers.
The family friendly event is coming Saturday, July 17. Participants are invited to check-in from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. coinciding with the DTR Market that morning at the new Railyard Park in Downtown Rogers, 101 E. Cherry St. Grab complimentary merchandise and accessories before riding at one of the many booths by local businesses.
Every part of the ride is on trails and sidewalks this year. The Railyard Loop Ride, a 15+ mile ride, loops the entire city of Rogers and participants can ride the whole route or drop in at the Mercy Trailhead for an 8-mile ride. Riders are encouraged to track their progress by using the Strava app.
Tickets are free for those 10 and under and just $10 for adults, and a portion of the proceeds from the event benefits nonprofit cycling causes in Northwest Arkansas. Each registered rider will receive a prize pack for participating that includes a medal, headband, and a ticket to “Rider Village” that night, including a concert ticket.

It’s time to network in-person once again. We invite you to join Hustle In Heels for an after-hours networking event. This evening will feature drinks, appetizers, and in-person networking to foster both personal and professional connections. Prehistoric Arkansas
Uncover the history of prehistoric Arkansas. Learn about the creatures and ecosystems that have shaped this area, from dinosaurs to ice ages and everything in between. We’ll be joined by Laurel Lamb from the University of Arkansas Museum to guide us through our explorations. Then, it’s time to get hands-on and be a paleontologist for the day with our all-ages craft activities. We’ll be creating casts of fossils and finding discoveries 65 million years in the making.

Summer of Spielberg Outdoor Film Series: The Goonies
Grab your ten-speed and your four best friends and join us for the final film in our Summer of Spielberg series.
