My all time fav soup is an Italian “throw it all in”. My Nona is from Taranto, Italy and moved here in her 20’s, after she met and married my grandpa during WWII. My grandpa was stationed in Italy, he didn’t speak Italian and she didn’t speak, English, but love knows no barriers, right?!?! Anywho, Nona loves cooking and like any tried and true Italian throws in a pinch of this and a dash of that, and voila! The soup that is my favorite has a tomato and chicken broth base with penne noodles, sliced and quartered zuchhinni and Italian sausage (I use turkey to make it healthier). I throw it all in a crock pot with garlic and seasoning and let it simmer on low all day (noodles go in at the end). Fresh garlic bread for dipping! 😊😊

The best soup I’ve ever had was a beer cheese soup from a restaurant in New Orleans. I tried this soup about 30 years ago when I lived there.? It was so delicious I will never forget it. Unfortunately the restaurant closed before I could figure out how to make it or get the recipe, so if anyone out there has a good recipe for this type of soup please share.
