Abrakadoodle offering six-week ‘Young Artists’ classes at Rogers Activity Center

abrakadoodleAbrakadoodle, one of our awesome sponsors here at nwaMotherlode, is now offering six-week classes at the Rogers Activity Center called Young Artists.

The classes are only $70 for the six-week term and that includes all materials. Parents can also just pay $15 per session.

We’re thinking this would be a great Christmas gift if you’ve got a kid who’s all about art.

Upcoming six-week classes start on: January 5th, February 16th and April 6th and will be from 6-7 p.m. for kids ages 5-12. A Rogers Activity Center membership is required, but that only runs $20 (for youth) for a whole year.

Here’s more about each upcoming class:

January 5th – Frozen! Calling all Elsa, Anna and Olaf lovers!
In this class all of the art will be centered around the hit movie, Frozen! We will make snow castles and our very own princess portraits and more!

Emotional friendsFebruary 16th – Amazing American Artists
Come along to America, land of some amazing artists! Create artworks inspired by famous artists who explore color, celebrate uniqueness, innovate with paint, depict familiar scenes, and highlight different cultures. You will learn about Thiebaud’s enticing goodies, Grandma Moses’ charming landscapes, Steinberg’s fascinating figures and more. Have fun with these Amazing American artists and create your own amazing art!

April 6th – Keep Calm and Paint!
Step into Abrakadoodle and learn that you can create amazing artwork! these step by step projects will build confidence and offer the opportunity to create beautiful art beginning-to-end to take home or share with loved ones. Create colorful landscapes, delicate floral compositions, acrylic and watercolor paintings to hang on your walls, and home décor to brighten any room!

Abrakadoodle will also come to you! They have a mobile art studio that will travel to homes, schools, churches or wherever little artists need help creating!
