I wanted to share the link to a story about a book by Dr. Jean Twenge, pyschologist and social commentator. Her brand new book is called The Narcissism Epidemic. and it’s sitting on my bedside table right now.
Check out this story in Newsweek (link) for an interesting review on the book, which explores whether our nation is in a narcissism epidemic (which might be toned down by the recession).
Dr. Twenge also wrote the book Generation Me, which I read last year. It made me really think about how I parent and what I might need to change if I want my child to grow up to be a productive citizen rather than a self-serving drain on society.
Can’t wait to read this new book.
