What We’re Loving in April 2026

Mamas, I first bought this product called the Time Timer for my daughter, who has always had what we jokingly call “time blindness.” If you tell her she has 5 minutes to get her shoes on and get in the car, she’ll treat it the same way she would if you told her she had 5 hours to do it. She has a hard time imagining what she can or cannot do within that time frame.

So when I found the Time Timer, I knew it would help her because she’s a visual thinker, and this little timer shows you time in a very visual way. You can actually see the “wedge” of time you have left shrinking. (Keep in mind… This is not a paid review, and no one got anything for free. This is simply a post about something we’re loving right now.)

What I didn’t expect was to fall in love with the timer myself. But I did, and now I have one on my desk, too. I have a bad habit of thinking I can fit “just one more thing” into my remaining time before I need to leave the house for an appointment or to pick up a kid. That “one more thing” usually makes me late leaving the house, and then things go downhill from there. Apparently, I needed a visual representation of time, just like my kid does.

These timers are inexpensive (about 20 bucks), so it might be fun to get one for each kid or person in the house. The color combinations on these things are endless. They’re cute, small, and you can turn the alarm on or off. You could throw it in an overnight bag, too, if you want to take it on a trip. If it keeps you from having to yell to hurry up the kids, it’ll be worth every penny.

Here’s a video review from another mom, who can show you how it works in her house.
