Giveaway: Win tickets to “The Very Hungry Caterpillar” at Walton Arts Center!

Who else knows all the words to The Very Hungry Caterpillar by heart? We certainly do!

We read it so many times to our kids, it’s still emblazoned in our memories. We LOVE Eric Carle books and that’s why this show is so exciting. We’ve got 4 FREE tickets for some lucky Northwest Arkansas family to see Mermaid Theatre of Nova Scotia’s The Very Hungry Caterpillar and Other Eric Carle Favorites at the show on Sunday, January 13th, at 2 p.m.

The show will feature three beloved stories by award-winning children’s book author and illustrator Eric Carle. They’ll be retold on stage through the magic of black light and fanciful puppets.

If you don’t want to miss out on this show, just FYI the tickets are only $9 for kids and $15 for adults! Click here to snag you some.

  1. We love Hear Bear Roar! We got to see this one on stage a couple of years ago, so we’re excited to check out The Very Hungry Caterpillar, another one of our favorites!

  2. Brown Bear, Brown Bear, The Grouchy Ladybug and The Very Hungry Catepillar are the favorites at our house ❤️

  3. The Very Hungry Caterpillar is the favorite. Also love Does a Kangaroo Have a Mother Too? And Brown Bear Brown Bear.

  4. Definitely the Very Hungry Caterpillar! It’s the first book my three year old memorized!

  5. I love all his books! My favorite:
“Slowly, Slowly, Slowly, said the Sloth”

  6. We really like the Mixed Up Chameleon, where the chameleon goes to the zoo and imagines on body parts from all the other animals and then decides it’s best to be yourself! It gets giggles every time! And an excellent point–like Oscar Wilde said, “be yourself; everybody else is already taken.” 🙂

  7. Brown Bear is our favorite. Both my kids loved that book so much that they started reading on their own with it.

  8. My favorite is The Grouchy Ladybug. I like reading it out loud and sounding ridiculous as the ladybug looks for a fight on every page.

  9. Brown Bear, Brown Bear is the first book my daughter picked up on her own. I’ll never forget her face filled with wonder as she flipped the pages.

  10. My three kids would LOVE to go to this. They all memorized The Very Hungry Caterpillar from front to back before they could ever read. 🙂
