First Thursday Fayetteville: Dog Daze
First Thursday is a vibrant, free monthly arts & culture festival brought to you by Experience Fayetteville. From May through October of each year, the event is based around a new theme each month. The free, family-friendly event includes a diverse lineup of live music, artist demonstrations and installations, food trucks, and an arts market featuring more than 40 independent artists who create items in a variety of media. September’s theme is Dog Daze. Pretty up your pooch for the return of the dog pageant and tons more fun for you and your best friend. Join on the mainstage for the Pooch Pageant from 6-8:45 p.m. Each of the six divisions will have its own check-in time and awards ceremony.

Community Campout at The Jones Center
Bring the family for an overnight adventure at the Jones Center’s 2nd annual Community Campout. This event is a salute to nature, exploration and shared time around the campfire – and it’s the perfect introduction to camping for those with little to no experience. Learn how to set up a tent and make yourself at home at the community campsite on the Jones Center campus. Their staff will be on hand to make the experience fun and easy. Your evening under the stars will include campfire cooking, s’mores, stories around the campfire, outdoor games, live music and more. Whether you love to camp or want to learn more – this event is for you. $50 per campsite. Members receive 20% off. Registration is required.

Bluey’s Big Play
When Dad feels like a little bit of Sunday afternoon time out, Bluey and Bingo have other plans! Join them as they pull out all the games and cleverness at their disposal to get Dad off his bean bag and up to play! Bluey’s Big Play is a theatrical adaptation of the Emmy® award-winning children’s television series, with an original story by “Bluey” creator Joe Brumm, and new music by “Bluey” composer Joff Bush. Bluey’s Big Play is presented by BBC Studios and Andrew Kay in association with Windmill Theatre Co.

Junkin’ Market Days
The market features unique products such as boutique clothing, jewelry, home decor, furniture, bath and body products, candles, gourmet foods, and other one-of-a-kind finds. There will be local vendors as well as vendors from several other states. Get the BOGO coupon.

Maker Faire NWA
Maker Faire NWA is back for its third year. From animators to scientists, and robotics experts to 3D printers, Maker Faire is the greatest show-and-tell on earth. Maker Faire brings together makers from all over the region for demonstrations, workshops, performances and more. This event is for all ages, and there will be a little something for everyone.

Ozark Quilt Fair
The 46th Annual Ozark Quilt Fair will be held on the Shiloh Museum grounds. Enjoy live music by Clarke Buehling’s Carousel Orchestra, brunch from Hawk and Robin, art activities, and a scavenger hunt. Admission is free.

On the House Plants
Discuss all things house plants while socializing and creating your own take-home house plant. Chelsea Stewart, Peel Museum Manager, will guide participants through the museum, discussing the significance of owning and caring for house plants in Victorian homes. You’ll also learn how to care for your own house plants, including the one you’ll create there. Choose from various succulents grown and cared for right at Peel Botanical Garden. You can also engage in a little plant swap with other attendees. During your tour and while creating your plant, you’ll have the option to enjoy some on-the-house wines and other beverages. Limited spots; registration is required for this class. $35

Falltoberfest
Falltoberfest takes the best of Oktoberfest and adds tons of fun for the whole family, canine pals included. Downtown Fayetteville Coalition has gathered local Arkansas breweries and lined up a day of live music. Free and fun for all ages.
