Walk N Roll
This friendly fundraising competition is between classrooms and teams at Sunshine School for the month of May. Show your school spirit by inviting your circle of friends, family and coworkers to support a classroom or team. There are many ways to give back all month: an online auction, social media challenges, raffles, donation drives, by attending a local business Give Back day and more. Then get together and celebrate with a Fun Walk on Saturday, June 5.

Forest Concert Series
This summer, spend your Saturday evenings enjoying live music at Crystal Bridges during the return of the Forest Concert Series. This set of outdoor concerts merges national and local musicians in our beautiful North Forest, surrounded by art and nature. Bring your own lawn chair or a blanket to enjoy live music and dancing under the forest trees. A food truck and cash bar will be available throughout the night, as well as artmaking activities. Check out the full summer lineup. Cost is $12 ($10 for members, Free for youth ages 18 and under*), register online or by calling Guest Services at 479.657.2335. *Please Note: Though tickets for youth ages 18 and under are free, a ticket is required for entry. Reserve these tickets online or with Guest Services.
As a safety precaution and to comply with CDC guidelines, Crystal Bridges and the Momentary require that face coverings are worn by guests of age 10 and older at outdoor programs and events, as well as at food and drink venues, except when eating and drinking. Masks recommended for ages 2 to 9. In order to maintain physical distancing at the concert, circles will be drawn in the seating area for each household group. Guests may remove their face covering to eat or drink only while inside their circle.

Mountain Street Stage Summer Concert Series
Join online or in person on Sunday, June 6, as we kick off our 2021 Mountain Street Stage concert series with Route 358. To ensure the health and safety of all the performers and our music-loving community, attendance for this event will be capped at 200. It will also be available for live viewing and replay via our FPL livestream page at https://vimeo.com/faylib.

Teen Video Editing Camp
Have you ever wanted to be a Youtuber or streamer? Join Digital Creators Club’s Phillip Shepard for a 3-day summer camp and learn to film and edit videos for YouTube with green screens and software in Fayetteville Public Library’s new Center for Innovation.
In this camp you will: Learn to edit, produce and shoot your own Youtube videos; Create compelling stories to share exciting, fun or emotional videos; Shoot your own commercial in class and present it to the other students; Experiment with video equipment like small GoPros, 360-degree Camera, DSLRs, Monopods and Gimbals.
This event is free and open to teens in grades 5–8. All supplies will be provided, and attendees will have access to the video editing software for a full calendar year. Teens must attend all 3 sessions and masks are to be worn in the library. Registration for this event will open on May 17th at 9:00am.

Family Story Time
Join Fayetteville Public Library youth services staff Mr. Jim and Ms. Gina for Family Story Time in the brand new Event Center. Families are invited to this 30-minute story time during which we’ll read stories, sing songs and have fun. This story time is suitable for toddler and preschool audiences. Families will be socially distanced throughout the Event Center and masks will be required of guests ages 5 and up.
Registration for this free event is required and opens on May 18th at 9am. Please indicate if there are special seating requirements for your family. Stroller parking will be available outside of the Event Center. This event is part of the 2021 Summer Reading Club – Tails and Tales.

Cancer Challenge
The Cancer Challenge Golf Tournament is played on Kingswood and Country Club Golf Courses in beautiful Bella Vista, Arkansas. We bring sponsors and a host of golf enthusiasts together in a two-day tournament to benefit The Cancer Challenge. Participation in the golf tournament is reserved for Corporate Sponsors and a limited number of Individual Golf Sponsors.

Monster Maker with Amazeum
Gear up for this STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) challenge to create your own monster from a variety of loose parts, like recyclables, craft sticks, and more. The event will take place in the Starr Foundation Children’s Craft Room. Due to COVID-19 restrictions only registered patrons may attend the class and masks are required. Ages 6-12.
Time: 1-2 p.m. and again at 2-3 p.m.

Discover the Grounds: Wildlife Rehabilitation
How do you return an animal back to the wild? Join us as we explore the reciprocal relationship between humans and animals with Lynn Sciumbato of the Morning Star Wildlife Rehabilitation Center. A seasoned storyteller, Lynn will share the history and regulations that govern native wildlife rehabilitation in Northwest Arkansas. Guests will learn best practices and have the opportunity to engage with live ambassador birds from Morning Star. Free, registration required.

Screening: the Inaugural Black Arkansas Film Showcase
Join us and our partners at The University of Arkansas’s Juneteenth Committee, the Fayetteville Film Festival, DAYVISION Films, and the Arkansas Cinema Society for an evening honoring Black filmmakers in Arkansas. The inaugural Black Films of Arkansas Showcase brings awareness, exposure, and networking opportunities for Black filmmakers in Arkansas. The showcase includes both live screens and Q&As with filmmakers.
The Showcase will begin at 5:30 p.m. with a screening of five short films, including Pandemic Love by De Shunn T. Berry, YOU by Jess Carson, 21 Daze by Chris James, Therapy by Kayla ‘Kay Kay’ Woods, and Color Me Black by T.J Andrews, followed by a panel discussion with film’s directors at 6:30 p.m.
Following a brief intermission, the feature length documentary film Dreamland will be screened at 7:30 p.m., followed by a discussion with producer Tanisha Joe-Conway. Dreamland explores the history of Little Rock’s West 9th Street, a once vibrant African American business and entertainment district. The film highlights the lone remaining building, the Dreamland Ballroom, which showcased regional and national African American bands and stage shows. The film explores the spirit of the West 9th Street community and the implications of federal programs such as Urban Renewal, school desegregation, and the Eisenhower Interstate Program. Event is free, registration required.

Cupcake Decorating with Bliss Cupcake Cafe
Join us in our new Teaching Kitchen for a class with local business Bliss Cupcake Cafe! This session will be geared for younger patrons and is open to those who have completed grades K–4. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, only registered patrons may participate in the class and masks are required.

Outdoor Movie: Raya and the Last Dragon
In partnership with the Arkansas Cinema Society, join Fayetteville Public Library for a screening of Raya and the Last Dragon. Bring your blankets and lawn chairs and enjoy a summer movie on our outdoor screen on the Hunt Family Gathering Glade! This event includes a Q&A with the director, shown prior to the start of the movie at 7 p.m. Movie screening to begin at approximately 7:30 p.m. Registration and masks are required at this event. The rain date for this event is July 1.
