The University of Wonder & Imagination is coming to The Jones Center, and kids of all ages and magical abilities are invited to enroll.
Interactive theater company Cahoots of Belfast, Northern Ireland will perform The University of Wonder & Imagination at 2 p.m. on Feb. 17 at FamJam Saturday, a program where kids and families can move, play and learn together.
With live actors and a large digital cast, The University of Wonder & Imagination combines magic and illusion with multimedia technology for an innovative experience that will boggle the mind and spark your family’s imagination.
Kids in Northwest Arkansas will assemble with fellow students and journey to the most unusual of universities. Meet the mysterious Professor Bamberg who will guide you through the interactive experience, where the choices you and the audience make will shape your unique course. Choose your subjects of study, interact with the liveliest of lecturers, and encounter all kinds of problems and puzzles, unlocking your magical powers as you go.
The University of Wonder & Imagination is great for a Saturday family outing. Tickets are $10 per person and include access to the day’s FamJam activities:
- Movement class for kids & adults – 11am
- Public-session ice skating – 12:30-2:30pm & 7-9pm
- Public-session swimming – 12-6pm
- The University of Wonder & Imagination – 2pm
This production first premiered as a groundbreaking international “Zoom” performance in the fall of 2020 during the Covid-19 pandemic. In January, The University of Wonder & Imagination launched a 22-venue tour of North America – including a performance at The Jones Center.
