“I would love to have a pre-baby date night with my hubby!!!! Being 33 weeks pregnant and chasing a 19 month old around doesn’t give us much chance to go to dinner and a great show!!!! I’d love a chance to get out for a fun evening!!!”
When Ambre saw the e-mail about winning the Great Date, she said it immediately lowered her blood pressure. “I was in the middle of mommy meltdown!” she said. “It couldn’t have come at a better time.”
Ambre and her husband moved back to Fayetteville when their son, Owen, was five days old. They had met while in graduate school at the University of Arkansas (Ambre has a master’s degree in animal behavior). Ambre originally moved from Canada to Fayetteville with her parents in 1994 to attend high school.
Ambre’s husband works in the field of international safety and leadership training for the oil industry. Sometimes he travels to faraway countries for weeks at a time, she said. She’s already dreading that first trip away after the baby’s born.
“So we definitely need to go out while we can!” she said.
