2018 Free Summer Lunch & Snack programs in Northwest Arkansas

There are several free lunch and snack programs across Northwest Arkansas now that school is out. Here’s a list of where kids 18 and under can receive healthy meals through the summer:

Fayetteville:

Starting today (Monday, June 4th), the Fayetteville Public Schools Summer Lunch & Snack program will begin. The program has been expanded to include a second mobile service site for the summer of 2018 to serve more free nutritious lunches and snacks to anyone age 18 or younger.

The main site for lunches and snacks will be at The Owl Creek School at 375 N.. Rupple Road on Monday through Friday from June 4 through August 8. Lunch will be served from 10:45 a.m.. to 1 p.m.. Snacks will be served from 1 to 3 p.m. (The program will be closed on July 4.)

Mobile service will be provided for all children (no adults) at two sites this year:

Yvonne Richardson Community Center at 240 E. Rock St., served Monday through Friday from June 4 through August 8. Lunch will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

A new mobile site will open this summer at the Fayetteville Public Library at 401 W Mountain St, served Monday through Friday from June 4 through August 8. Lunch will be served from 12:30 p.m.. to 1:00 p.m. Both sites will be closed on July 4.

Meals and snack service will also be provided to City of Fayetteville Parks & Recreation summer camps, Donald W. Reynolds Boys & Girls Club, and the district’s Migrant program.

Springdale:

The Springdale Summer Lunch Programs will be at at Elmdale, Parson Hills and George elementary schools from June 4-August 3 and at Jones Elementary from June 4-26.

Rogers:

Rogers Public School will offer free summer meals to all children who are 18 years old or younger June 4-August 3. Meals will be served Monday through Friday at many locations, except on July 4.

The following buildings will be serving meals:

  • Heritage High School  (breakfast- 7:30-8:30 and lunch 11-noon)
  • Mathias Elementary (lunch 11-noon)
  • New Tech High (lunch 11-noon)
  • Lowell Elementary (lunch 11-noon)
  • Rogers Activity Center (breakfast 8-8:30 and lunch 11-12:30)

Double Tree Apartments pavilion (lunch 11-11:30)

Center for Non-Profits (lunch 11:30-noon)

Southwind Apartments near mail pavilion (lunch 11:15-11:45)

Rogers Professional Learning Center near RHS Fieldhouse  (lunch 11:15-11:45)

Meadow Park Apartments pavilion (lunch 12:15-12:45)

Westbrook Apartments (lunch 12:15-12:35)

War Eagle Day Camp at N. Storage Pkwy in Rogers  (lunch 12-12:30)

Bentonville:

Kids and teens 18 and under can receive free meals this summer at Mary Mae Jones Elementary, 500 SE 14th St., Bentonville, and  June 4th through July 27th (closed on July 4th). Breakfast starts at 7:30 a.m. and lunch starts at 10:30 a.m. Monday through Friday.

Tennie Russell Primary School, 1110 Bella Vista Road, Bentonville, June 18, 2018 thru August 2, 2018. Breakfast : 8 am – 8:30 am. Lunch:  11 am – 11:30. Monday thru Thursday. Closed July 2-5, 2018
