We have so much fun giving away super cool stuff on this website. It’s really a blast to make that call to say “Guess what?! You won!” When I called Springdale mom Tracy Bond Thursday night to tell her she won the Moms Night Out at Fast Lane Entertainment, her first response was “That’s awesome!”
Tracy, a 29-year-old former high school physics teacher, is a Motherlode newbie. She first logged on to the website Wednesday night when she got home with her goody bag from the Rhea Lana’s Consignment Sale and found our little blue rack card inside. She was at the sale looking for cute clothes for her 3-year-old daughter, Olivia. And speaking of her daughter, Tracy has a blog called “Nourished and Exhausted,” where she (occasionally) documents her family’s life.
“I haven’t updated it in a while. But I will now!” she told me.
In addition to mothering, Tracy is involved with the University of Arkansas, working with high school physics teachers and helping with outreach programs. She and others are also working to build a Physics Teacher Association.
Tracy is originally from Springdale, so she’ll definitely have nine friends to join her for the mom’s night out. She’s never been to Fast Lane before and is excited to go try out the go-karts, bowling, lazer tag and to share snacks with her girlfriends. She said a moms night out is long overdue.
“I’m so excited,” she said. “We’re always saying, ‘We all need to get together. We really should go out and do something.’ This is definitely a good excuse!”
