Fall/Halloween Feature: Treats at the Tracks Carnival!

treats at the tracks

We know it’s a little early to be talking about Halloween, but there are so many fun events here in Northwest Arkansas throughout the season that we thought we’d start sooner rather than later.

We know you’ll want to save this date. It looks like a blast and it helps raise money for a great cause: House of Hope Rescue Mission.

House of Hope is a day center for the needy and homeless in downtown Springdale.  They’re open Wednesday and Fridays from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.  and serve a hot meal on those 2 days. The non-profit also has a food pantry, clothing room, showers, laundry facilities, Bible studies, and life coaches to help with job placement and other issues.

The 1st Annual Treats at the Track event will be from 6:30-9:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 30th, at the A&M Railroad Depot (305 E. Emma, downtown Springdale). This event will provide a fun, safe place for families to come trick-or-treat on the Train, enjoy carnival games and hay rides, listen to live music, visit the pumpkin patch and have lots of fun.  There will also be a haunted train for the older (and braver) kids.

Admission is $5 and kids 2 and under are free. There are a few other events (like a mechanical bull!) that will cost minimal fees to participate in — and there will also be food vendors — but the entry fee will cover all the main attractions.

Mark your calendars!

We’ll be bringing you MORE fun fall/Halloween events over the next few weeks. Visit nwaMotherlode often or sign up for our newsletter ( you can sign up here) so you can be sure to get all the goodies delivered to your inbox for free 🙂
