Happy Tuesday, mamas! As many of you may already know, Arkansas allowed aquatic centers, splash pads and community pools to open on May 22, 2020. But is it safe to go play in the water with the kids during a time when COVID-19 may still be circulating in the area?
We found a great article about this on the USA Today website, which contains some of the specific guidelines for going to the pool or water park, as outlined by the Centers for Disease Control. Click here to read it now.
Just to be clear, the CDC says that “Proper operation and maintenance (including disinfection with chlorine and bromine) of these facilities should inactivate the virus in the water.”
The biggest challenge may be enforcing social distancing, espeically since kids are known to cough near other kids when pool water gets in their throat. Be careful out there, mamas!
