This week we’ve got another end-of-summer concert ticket giveaway that will be perfect for a fun date night or a girls night out. One lucky mom will get two tickets to see the Goo Goo Dolls (with special guest Collective Soul) live in concert on September 6th. She’ll be rocking out to songs like “Slide,” “Iris,” “Here is Gone,” “Give A Little Bit,” “Sympathy,” “Better Days,” and “Big Machine.”
These two concert tickets are for seats on the lawn at the Walmart AMP on September 6, 2016. Gates open at 6 p.m. and the music starts at 7:30 p.m.
We’re pairing the concert tickets with dinner gift cards at one of our new favorite places to eat in Rogers. Newk’s Eatery, which is located within walking distance of the Walmart AMP, has won us over with its big menu, incredible soups, gourmet sandwiches, thin-crust pizzas, and don’t get us started on the amazing pasta salad. Love it. (We also give it a thumbs-up for the sweet tea!)
We haven’t had anything at Newk’s that we didn’t like, but one of our favorites is the Pesto Chicken Sandwich with a side of pasta salad. (The Broccoli Cheese soup is also pretty spectacular, and plenty of people go nuts for Newk’s famous mac & cheese.)
This week’s giveaway winner will also receive two gift cards which will get you two free dinner entrees at Newk’s, which you can use anytime or right before the Goo Goo Dolls concert. Speaking of the concert, here’s a clip of one of the Goo Goo Dolls biggest hits, “Iris.“

Some of the best nights out are the nights in…making a good dinner and listening to great music.
A couple of years ago for my birthday my friends and I got all dolled up 1980’s style and had a photographer take “Glamour Shots” of us. We then went to the mall like that and ate at Mimi’s Cafe. It was a hoot!
Any date night creates memories…time to reconnect and breathe together.
Being able to connect with friends or the hubby without interruption, laughing and reminiscing about great memories makes a great date night.
My favorite date was my proposal! Definitely the first one that comes to mind!
I follow on Twitter at @channynn!
It’s been way too long since I’ve had a Girl’s Night Out. This past weekend my hubby and I made a spontaneous decision for a date night to see Greater–it was so good!
Best Girls nights ever… 7 girls, 7 bottles of wine and we laugh so hard that we realize Incontinence is a real thing 🙂
I’ve had a ton of fun girls nights and date nights with my husband! We both love Goo Goo Dolls and would love to see them!
My favorite girl’s night out was going to dinner at Shogun’s with my BFF and a bunch of nurses from WRMC before a movie premier.
My FAVE girls night was going to see Ellie Golding at the AMP! We knew every word and were dancing and having so much fun. I SWEAR she looked right at us and smiled!
Love all the giggling and girl talk we get on girls night out
Just love being able to spend time with my husband.
Haven’t had one lately but I wanna!
One of my favorite recent date night memories is the conversation out on a date realizing that by the time our kids were 5 more than 25% of our time to influence them was gone. It spurred the move for my Husband to take a sabbatical from teaching in the public schools to be home with our little ones.
One of my favorite date night memories would be the night we went to dinner and walked around pinnacle holding hands. After 17 years, he still wants to hold my hand 🙂
I have TONS of memories from concerts with friends. BoyzIIMen, NKOTB, were some of my faves. Would love to share a concert night with my hubby!!!
Best date night ever was going to the Liberty Bowl last year with my hubby & our BFF’s.
Getting dressed up for the gala the night before the game, the parade on Beal Street, tailgating, and Razorback football…. couldn’t ask for more!
A favorite date night was actually a “blind date” to a Goo Goo Doll’s concert at Barnhill Arena in 1999… 🙂 I’m still happily married to that “blind date”! 🙂
Best girls night was with my bestie to OKC to watch a hockey game and then spent the evening out on Brick Town
Several years ago my husband & I went to a concert in Fayetteville at a bar just before they closed their doors permanently. We had so much fun & the band was awesome.
Favorite date night was a date weekend. My husband surprised me with Liberty Bowl tickets for Christmas. Got to spend a weekend away. Definitely much needed, and watching the Hogs play is one of favorite things ever!
Favorite girl date was out on the lake chillaxin.
Thd hubs and I always enjoy a concert for date nights! We are newer to the area and the Amp is a great venue!
Ellie Goulding was the best girls night!!! So fun!
