For you couples out there who are interested in spending some time together this weekend, there’s a two-day I Choose Us: Growing a Passionate Marriage seminar beginning Friday night (March 13).
From NWA Healthy Marriages, which is sponsoring the event: “The seminar will strengthen, encourage, energize and grow your marriage.”
I Choose Us is only $35 per couple and will be held at the Embassy Suites & Conference Center in Rogers. Times are: 7 to 10 p.m. on Friday and 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday.
Even if you don’t go to the conference, the NWA Healthy Marriages website is worth checking out. There’s even an anonymous quiz you can take to gauge “The State of Your Marriage.” There are various resources, event listings and info for couples planning to get hitched. According to info on the site, Arkansas has one of the highest divorce rates in the country and NWA has one of the highest divorce rates in the state.

Women Be Wise Retreat
Motherlode reader Lauren Levine sent us a note yesterday about the Women Be Wise annual retreat happening in Eureka Springs on Sunday, March 15th, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Fire Om Earth Retreat Center. (It’s located at 872 Mill Hollow Road in Eureka Springs.)
This one-day retreat brings together facilitators and therapists who offer workshops, classes and skills to help enrich women’s lives. Some of the classes offered include:
