Let’s make sure the first month of 2026 starts with something fun, mamas! After all the holiday chaos, you will need a night out at the theatre to treat yourself to an iconic Broadway musical that has become a classic for good reasons. This week we’re giving away 4 tickets to see “Meredith Willson’s The Music Man,” at Walton Arts Center on Friday, January 16, 2026 at 7:30pm.
ABOUT THE SHOW:
Meredith Willson’s six-time, Tony Award-winning musical comedy The Music Man follows traveling salesman Harold Hill as he cons the people of River City into buying instruments and uniforms for a boys’ band that he vows to organize – this, despite the fact that he doesn’t know a trombone from a treble clef. His plans to skip town with the cash are foiled when he falls for Marian, the librarian. Will she transform him into a respectable citizen by the final curtain? Featuring songs such as “Seventy-Six Trombones,” “Ya Got Trouble,” “‘Til There Was You” and “Gary, Indiana,” The Music Man is a family-friendly story to be shared with every generation.
Recommended for ages 8 and up.

(One of the famous songs in this Broadway musical is titled “Ya Got Trouble.”) For example, one of my most recent troubles was finding wasps in the house (FOUR of them in one week!) and having to smack them down before they got too close.

My trouble is I thought it would be sooooo easy to find a used cd player, and now it’s 2 days until Christmas and I’m pawn shop hopping like a maniac!
My trouble is the armadillo who digs up our yard front and back all year round!
Trouble seems to follow me…Lol! Lately trouble has come from my son and his forgetfulness. Missing baseball glove, forgotten cleats, dirty clothes all over his room, etc.
My trouble is my kids got new scooters for Christmas and have decided that leaving them anywhere in the yard is the perfect spot for next time – even right outside the front door. Gotta work on that with them. 🥴
Most recently I had to deal with a flat tire but thankfully it was right after I got home from a long trip with my kids!
One of the biggest troubles I had was a crazy windshield wiper motor that kept going bad. My wipers quit working TWICE when I was on the interstate going 70-75mph and it was dumping rain. I was TERRIFIED and not sure if I was going to make it over to the exit lane. It also happened a couple of times off the interstate, which wasn’t as bad, but since I had to drive from Bentonville to Farmington each day at the time, it was inconvenient. It was so bad, I ended up just driving to a car lot the last time it happened on the interstate and traded that death machine in. 😀
Trouble I’ve had lately is making a cozy chunky blanket. My dog wants to sit in my lap in it while I’m making it!
