Make-Ahead Recipe for French Toast Casserole

Mamas, we love a recipe that gives us more flexibility when it comes to timing. If you don’t want to be stuck in the kitchen making breakfast over the holiday, make it the night before!

We found the following Pumpkin French Toast Casserole on one of our favorite recipe websites called Damn Delicious.

We’ve found so many other recipes we love on this website, so we’re planning to try this one for Christmas. It sounds and looks SO delicious. With a little fresh fruit on the side, we’ll be all set.

Here’s the ingredients you’ll need:

  • 1 (16-ounce) loaf brioche breadcubed
  • 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheesecubed
  • 10 large eggsbeaten
  • 1 ½ cups whole milk
  • 1 cup canned pumpkin puree
  •  cup maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Kosher salt
  • ½ cup chopped pecans

for the buttermilk glaze

  • 2 cups confectioners’ sugar
  • 3 tablespoons buttermilk
  • 2 teaspoons orange zest
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Kosher salt
