The popular method used to get to sleep faster

Everyone knows that moms of newborns and babies don’t get much sleep, but the bad news is that the rest of us have trouble with sleep, too. No matter how young or old your kids are, it’s often hard at night to “turn off” your brain and stop thinking or worrying about the kids, the house, work, your to-do list, money, illness, relationships, etc. 

And it’s SO miserable when you know you desperately need to go to sleep but your brain just won’t cooperate. It just keeps on spinning while you look at the clock and worry about how long it’s taking to doze off.

So we’re passing along this article we found on the Good Housekeeping website that discusses a popular sleep hack method you might have seen on social media. It’s called the Military Sleep Method, and it was first developed by a man named Lloyd “Bud” Winter, who used it to train combat pilots while he was in the military. He later used it in his career as a track coach who trained Olympic sprinters.

While we’re not at all convinced that any method could get us to sleep in only two minutes, we’re willing to try anything that helps us get to sleep in 30 minutes or less. (Some of us would be thrilled with anything under an hour!)
