Moon to Mars
Blast off to Moon to Mars in the newest exhibit at the Scott Family Amazeum. Young explorers will design and fly their own rocket, hover high above another planet in our Orion Spacecraft, experience what it feels like to walk in a reduced gravity environment, and navigate the new terrain in the Lunar Rover. Designed with support from NASA’s Deep Space Exploration systems at Johnson Space Center.

Starlight Skatium: Skater Tot Toddler Time
Special rink time geared for families with younger kids. Skate, glide, or ride around the rink floor. Strollers are permitted. A limited number of gliders and scooters are provided, but you are welcome to bring your own. This event is held on the 1st Thursday of every month, but follow Starlight Skatium’s social media accounts for any changes to the schedule due to weather. $7 admission.

American Girl LIVE! In Concert
American Girl LIVE! In Concert brings your favorite characters to life in a brand-new pop concert experience. Featuring American Girl fan favorites performed by a live cast, this show is filled with music, high energy dancing and lots of surprises as our American Girls learn about the power of friendship. Join the fun with your favorite American Girl characters in this immersive concert experience. Recommended for ages 6+

Sensory Friendly Day at the Amazeum
Everyone is welcome to attend this day of celebration and fun as the Amazeum focuses on people with exceptionalities and their families. They’ll have sensory-friendly activities with an opportunity to connect with others in an understanding environment.

Adult Night at the Amazeum
Indulge your playful side at the Scott Family Amazeum’s Adult Night. Embark on a journey through size and scale with a unique Amazeum twist, featuring larger-than-life experiences like giant Bernoulli, tiny drawings that pack a big punch, life-size kerplunk for a colossal showdown, and an array of other captivating activities. Unleash your inner child and revel in an evening of laughter, creativity, and unforgettable moments – because who says the Amazeum is just for kids? Join us for an evening tailored for the young at heart, complete with light bites and drinks.

Family Day: I Heart Art
Fun, free, and family friendly. The museum will be filled with activities the whole family can enjoy. You’ll make unforgettable museum memories as you create art in the studios, enjoy Reed Turns Red: Choosing Love, a 30-minute play by Trike Theatre, write love letters, create a Valentine’s Day box to collect Valentine’s cards throughout the museum, help create a giant yarn heart with fiber artist Gina Gallina, and more.

Just My Type, Typewritten Valentines (Grades 5-12)
Celebrate International Typewriter Appreciation Month by crafting a valentine or a letter using a vintage typewriter! Supplies will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own stationery if you would prefer. This is a drop-in event and no registration is required.

Little Sprouts Pop-Up
February Pop-Up: How do Tiger Moths find love? Learn their fascinating tricks at the next Little Sprouts story time. Have fun singing, dancing and making new friends as we learn how to show more love to garden critters. Registration is required.
Date: Feb. 14
Time: 10-11 a.m.
Location: Botanical Garden of the Ozarks
FamJam: The University of Wonder & Imagination
Interactive theater company Cahoots of Belfast, Northern Ireland will perform The University of Wonder & Imagination at 2 p.m. on Feb. 17 at FamJam Saturday, a program where kids and families can move, play and learn together. With live actors and a large digital cast, the show combines magic and illusion with multimedia technology for an innovative experience that will boggle the mind and spark your family’s imagination. Kids can choose their subjects of study, interact with the liveliest of lecturers, and encounter all kinds of problems and puzzles, unlocking magical powers as they go. Tickets are $10 per person and include access to all the day’s FamJam activities.

Time: FamJam kicks off with a movement class at 11 a.m., then you can ice skate and/or swim. The show starts at 2 p.m.

Circuit Block Party
Do you ever think about what it takes to make a light turn on with a flip of a switch? Introducing your child to critical thinking and igniting the spark of learning is an important aspect of development. Once a month, Scott Family Amazeum hosts a Circuit Block Party in the Tinkering Hub. If you have pre-purchased a Circuit Block Kit from the Amazeum’s store, you can attend the Circuit Block Party without paying for admission. Without the kit, you are required to enter the Amazeum through regular admission.
