What We’re Reading: Say You’ll Remember Me, by Abby Jimenez

I binged this book. I seriously couldn’t get enough of “Say You’ll Remember Me” after downloading it on its release date. I’ve read almost all of Abby Jimenez’s books, so I already knew I was on board for whatever new adventure she’d be taking readers on.

This trip — across the country from where it started — did not disappoint. Between the two adorable yet complex main characters with instant chemistry, the rescued kitten, the dog in hiding, and an adult daughter who’s doing everything she can to navigate an incredibly difficult health crisis in her immediate family, this story grabs hold of you and does not let go until the last page. I confidently predict that you’re going to LOVE it.

I listened to the audiobook version, which was SO good, and then I bought the hardcover version because I loved it that much.

Title: Say You’ll Remember Me

Author: Abby Jimenez

What it’s about (without spoilers):

There’s no such thing as a perfect guy, but Xavier Rush comes disastrously close. A gorgeous veterinarian giving Greek god vibes—all while cuddling a tiny kitten? Immediate yes. That is until Xavier opens his mouth and proves that even sculpted gods can say the absolute wrong thing. Like, really wrong. Of course, there’s nothing Samantha loves more than proving an asshole wrong . . . unless, of course, he can admit he made a mistake.

But after one incredible and seemingly endless date, Samantha is forced to admit the truth, that her family is in crisis and any kind of relationship would be impossible. Samantha begs Xavier to forget her. To remember their night together as a perfect moment, as crushing as that may be. Only no amount of distance or time is enough to forget what’s between them. And the only thing better than one single perfect memory is to make a life—and even a love—worth remembering.
