Love and Other Words by Christina Lauren
Shannon and I have been fans of the writing duo (and best friends) Christina Lauren for a while now. The women know how to tell a story, and their characters’ dialogue is SO good.
But we both agree that we could not read the book Love and Other Words fast enough. For book and word nerds like us, this book is heaven! Shannon said she practically inhaled it, reading it even while standing over the kitchen sink to do other stuff.
I felt the same way about it and really fell in love with the main characters, Macy and Elliott, who meet as kids and grow up spending weekends and summers together. Speaking of love, this book is a coming-of-age story as well as a romance, so don’t read it if you don’t want a steamy scene or two in your novels. But… if you swoon for a love story that is well developed between believable characters, you’re gonna love this one.
