Happy Friday, mamas! If you’re looking for things to do this weekend in NWA, you’re in luck! Here are some fun events for the weekend of April 22-24.

1. First Responders Night with Post-Game Fireworks Spectacular, NWA Naturals, Friday {cost varies}. The Naturals will honor and celebrate the dedicated First Responders in Northwest Arkansas. The night will feature a post-game Fireworks Spectacular.

Gates open at 6 p.m. and the game starts at 7:05 p.m.

2. RazorFest, Saturday {free}. RazorFest is a free, family-friendly event held prior to the annual Red-White game at Donald champions for kidsW. Reynolds Razorback Stadium. RazorFest includes games, inflatables, concerts, performances, autographs, mascots, healthy tips, giveaways, and more.

RazorFest starts at 9 a.m. and kickoff is at noon at Razorback Stadium.

3. How does your Garden Grow, Saturday, Fayetteville Public Library {free}.

Come enjoy stories and songs on the terrace with Miss Rachel, and plant some flowers to grow at home. The event is at 10:30 a.m.

4. Art Night Out: Rock & Roll and the Open Road, Saturday {$10/$8 for Members/Free for artinfusion Members). Celebrate The Open Road exhibition at Crystal Bridges Museum with Art Night Out! Enjoy road-trip films, performances in classic cars, a neon art show, and a rock and roll concert. Music of the night will feature Smokey & the Mirror and Little Rock-based funk rock band Amasa Hines. You’ll meet photographer Alec Soth, featured in The Open Road, as he shares his unique, experimental pop-up show Postcards from America. Soth will be joined by photographers Jim Goldberg from San Francisco and Mikhael Subotzky from South Africa.

The event is from 8-11 p.m.

5. Arts Live Theatre presents Annie Jr., Friday, Saturday, Sunday. {Tickets: $12 ages 13 and above/$8 ages 12 and under} This show will run through Sunday.

Our resident Pet Parenting writer here at Motherlode, Denise Holmes, is excited to have her dog, Henri, in the show!

Show dates/times:

  • Friday, April 22, 7 pm
  • Saturday, April 23, 2pm & 7pm
  • Sunday, April 24, 2pm

Please note Sunday, April 24 is the Joe Martin Stage Race, which will take place in downtown Fayetteville near the performance venue. Please allow extra time for parking.
